Klamath River Toxicity
The land was stunning. We saw lots of animals while we were there. There is a standard outlet for power and a hose for the water. The main issue we had was that the Klamath River is toxic for humans and animals, unfortunately, stemming from the removal of the dams up river. We were not told this upon arrival with our dogs and when asked what we were looking to do we told the host we were looking to swim in the river along with our dogs. He never told us that the river is toxic and unsafe to swim in and because of this, we cannot recommend this site if you, your furry friends, or your family are looking to use the Klamath River.

Great Family Fun! Highly Recommend.
We had a great camping trip to Animal Land! Ken was a fantastic host and the land and setup are fantastic. The campsite and surrounding view are beautiful. We enjoyed kayaking in the river next to the campsite and our kids enjoyed swimming in the water and jumping off the rocks. It is such a peaceful and relaxing place! We also explored a bit further to the Salmon river (just 5 miles away), where we had more fun swimming and relaxing. In addition to the scenery, the extra amenities, such as the running water, "kitchen" area, and toilet all helped make the camping extra easy and fun.

ANIMAL LAND
Animal land is the perfect site to unplug and reconnect with nature. On our first day, we watched bald eagles, bears, otters and several other bird species. The camp site has creature comforts of electricity, nice kitchen set up, with the ability to cook a delicious meal. Ken is a wonderful, warm and welcoming host. We enjoyed getting to know him and some of his worldly adventure stories. We look forward to returning to Animal land!

ANIMAL LAND
Comfortable camping in an epic spot
Our camping plans had to change at the last minute due to smoke and we can't believe how lucky we were to find this place! Ken's property is beautiful, remote but still incredibly comfortable. There's a kitchen and large dining area, and plenty of camping in the shade. Within minutes of being there we were already plotting on how to come back every year. Ken was super helpful, checking in to see if there was anything we needed and had great suggestions for some pretty epic swimming spots. We will definitely be back!!

ANIMAL LAND
This is one of the most beautiful, if not thee most beautiful campsites I’ve ever stayed on. It’s right next to the river, with a very kind and friendly host. He knows the land and area so well and has great recommendations. The bathrooms are clean and scenery is breath taking. You’ll see all the stars and so many bald eagles.
