A hot spot in the Gold Rush, our property once was a 1850 homestead, a 1970 back to the land artist's dream. A stone mason built the main cabin, renovated by my stair builder/musician father and artist/chef mother and I built the straw bale cabin. It's an wildlife highway with coyotes, foxes, red tailed hawks, bears, mountain lion, deer, jackrabbits, and lots of birds.  Learn more about this land: Nestle into our woods next to water tanks, with easy access flat camping spots. All Corners property is unusual in that it has meadows, grey pine ecosystems as well as mixed conifer fir/pine/madrone forests.  Walk to Ring of Bone Zendo, Mini local neighborhood playground and trails on BLM property. 3 miles from North Columbia Schoolhouse, 4 miles from Ananda Village, close to Malakoff Diggins State Park. A very quiet place to stage your Yuba Watershed adventure.  Mountain biking and hiking on dirt roads, lots of wildlife. You'll start your slowed-down adventure as soon as you drive 3 miles down Jackass Flats road, through historic mining areas and into a literary 'hood that has homed Gary Snyder, Allen Ginsberg and Governor Moonbeam.Nestle into Sierra Nevada foothill woods near our water tanks, with easy access flat camping spots. Our property is a special mix of meadows, grey pine ecosystems as well as mixed conifer fir/pine/madrone forests which we are restoring back to pre-colonial foreats. We just added a lot of trails through magical rose quartz outcroppings and manzanita groves. My three friends and I had a blast at Samantha’s property off the beaten track of Nevada City. The camping spot was beautiful and comfortable, and we loved meeting Samantha and her adorable son and appreciated their restaurant recommendations for the weekend. The separate bathhouse and shower was an added treat and we loved meeting doggos Buttercup and Dragon as well. It was about 37 minutes to downtown Nevada City. We would stay here again!

Wonderful & remot deep in the woods
35 ft campervan
I had exactly the experience I was looking for at this Hipcamp. I wanted several days to work remotely in the woods where I could sit outside all day in the middle of nature instead of in a city at home at my desk. My ATT mifi got two bars which was enough for me to call into meetings with video off and work online. Before and after work I took long walks (plenty of trails and dirt roads) and saw coyotes, jackrabbits and lots of bird life. (There are also bugs and mosquitoes so don't forget your repellent!) The tanks campsite is dry but my solar panel worked to charge what I needed but when one of my inverters blew, Samantha was kind enough to let me charge my laptop overnight at her place. The property is a family compound with the campsite in viewing distance of the structures but far enough away to where you feel total privacy. A little walk down the hill to the compound takes you to a quirky bathroom building with flushing toilet and shower, both free for campers to use. At one point or another, I met everyone in the family and they were all kind, enjoyable and respectful of my privacy. This is a quintessential Hipcamp where you get the wonderful, real experience of country living and camping along with hosts who good people and care about the land and your time on it. I definitely plan on coming here again. It was wonderful.

It was a beautiful space among the trees. The wooden tables and chairs made the space convenient and cozy. I appreciated having access to drinking water on the campsite! Samantha was a considerate and friendly host who made us feel welcome. I would definitely stay there again.

A peaceful, welcoming camp spot off the beaten path, with a warm shower and lovely bench to kick back and look at the stars. I slept so well and enjoyed connecting with the helpful owners as well!
