The title says it all this property is truly A Unique Mountain Retreat that will give you the peace, quiet and tranquility you are looking for. An energy efficient Uniquely designed home that is off the grid and has a very green footprint with solar and windmill to charge batteries. Oak and pine tree covered acres with fitness and nature trails around the property. Each level campsite with picnic table is designed for privacy with plenty of distance between sites and mountain views in every direction, along with an optional gas log fire pit and BBQ. There is plenty of clean, non potable drinking water, custom built toilets and optional hot showers, limited electrical use, cell phone charging and low power use devices as I am off grid. There is a fitness and nature trail on the property and Pacific Crest trail is approx 20 to 30 min drive, Mountain park which has many miles of hiking trails and an Indian reservation with hikes to many petroglphs. Things to see are the World famous Tehachapi railway loop, historic downtown, vineyards, mountain spirit center a Buddhist temple, glider rides, bicycle riding and fishing. There is cell service around the property but intermittent at the campsites.

Unique Mountain Log Cabin
This was one of the lost magical spots on our cross country drive to Florida. We booked on the way to our trip. The host is beyond accommodating and personally made sure our cabin was prepared even though we checked in late that day. We also got a private tour of the of grid system he has providing a eco friendly expedience. We stayed in the cabin but there are tent spaces just a nice in the area with a common bathroom and bath area. Huge plus was the outdoor showers. Not to mention the property is on native lands and the star gazing was some of the best I have witnessed. If you are considering highly recommended! We would love to come back and host our retreat here.

Beautiful spot. He has done an amazing job of providing clean and comfortable place to camp. Sites are very well spaced, great views. Very hospitable. As a single woman camper felt very safe

Unique Mountain Log Cabin
Blown away
**WOW** I will be going back very soon. Perfect little hidden gem in our beautiful hills. I’m a Tehachapi local and stayed in the tiny cabin to get away for the night. I am beyond impressed, but not just with the property and spectacular views, but also with John. What an incredible host and property owner. I can’t wait to stay again! PS do not use GPS! It will take you through surrounding private properties. Use John’s directions. THANK YOU JOHN!

A genuine host and idealistic spot
John stayed up late to make sure I arrived well and situated me with the facilities before I set up my tent. This space is the very best (very friendly, very clean, very quiet, very pretty)! I would def return and would highly recommend rented either the cabin (solo or couples) or the air bnb’s for groups. He even has trails he has created over the 30 years he has lived here. 100% off grid, John is great man to converse with. Enjoy!

Unique Mountain Log Cabin
This place is so beautiful. The cabin is so sweet and the nature scenery is stunning. John is a thoughtful, accommodating, and caring host. We would love to come back again.
