I would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone looking! Not only did it have beautiful views but town is only a few minutes away! It was definitely a win/ win. Stephen also took a moment to check in with us to ensure that everything was fine :)

Hug’s Farm was a nice safe quiet spot to stop for the night. Great for any type of equipment.

Great semi-rustic spot!
Really nice spot - great views. Rustic yet not to far from a couple Mostly-out-of-sight residences and a short drive into a decent town for shopping and dinner. Glad we had our truck for getting up the rocky road to the campsite. Were visited about 11 pm by a small group of beautiful cows and calves who woke us up with the swishing of their tales against our trailer and the sound of their tongues licking our vehicles. Would have loved to stay longer!

I had some last minute change of plans and had to cancel very late. Stephen has common sense and is reasonable and gave me a full refund! Too bad I couldn't go. Maybe next time.

We loved our stay at Hug’s farm! Gorgeous views and close to all the amenities of Smithers.

Private site with phenomenal views!
We had a great time at Stephen's campsite! Super conveniently located, about 5-10 min from town with a new bike/walking path that runs right by the driveway but protected from the road and feels blissfully private. The site itself has loads of flat space, whether you have large RV's, groups or want a flat tent site nestled in the trees overlooking the valley. We parked our 2WD van on a level right above the main fire and eating area, with prime views of the farm, river, valley, and mountains. The land has been in the family since 1937 and is still used as an organic vegetable farm and for raising cattle (the curious cows weren't free roaming when we were there unfortunately!). Stephen goes above and beyond, giving us great recommendations for things to do in the area and providing firewood, a hatchet, shovel, in addition to the fire pit with grill, picnic table and log seating. Make sure you take time to get up early to catch the sunrise, or stay up late to watch the sunset as they are spectacular.
