Duck Creek Farm stands as a family-operated organic farm nestled on Salt Spring Island. Spanning over an acre, our grounds boast a thriving market garden comprising three greenhouses and a 65-ft hoop house, along with 75 fruit trees, a yoga platform, a refreshing swimming pond, and a charming vintage farmhouse. This idyllic retreat offers a serene oasis where nature flourishes. Wildlife enthusiasts will delight in frequent sightings of eagles, owls, herons, otters, beavers, salmon, and more. The meandering Duck Creek traverses the property, creating a natural habitat for an array of creatures. Operating as a high-production garden, our dedicated staff is on-site Monday through Friday. Despite our productivity, we employ manual methods, ensuring a tranquil ambiance for our guests. In addition to our agricultural pursuits, Duck Creek Farm is an ideal venue for weddings and various events. For a comprehensive overview, please visit our website. Discover the perfect blend of nature, sustainability, and rustic charm at Duck Creek Farm! Parking for the tipi is 80 - 100' from the tipi. An outdoor sink is about 45' from the tipi, the outhouse is a 2-3 minute walk through the meadow.

Forest Tipi on Organic Farm
The tipi was so awesome to stay in! If you're used to regular tent camping like we are, this is a nice luxury! But don't go in here expecting a soundproof glamping experience; it's still camping. The property was gorgeous as well. We did get a thunder and rainstorm our first night, and since the rain was torrential we did get a couple drip spots throughout the night, but that's not really something that can be prevented. If you're worried about dampness, maybe try to plan around the weather. Overall, wonderful campsite and would love to stay here again.

Forest Tipi on Organic Farm
This farm is a true gem; we stayed in the tipi section for 5 nights and 1 night tenting it. The ad isn't clear that the water/sink/garbage/parking access is really only accessible through the tipi section of the property, so you're actively invading someone's camping area when you need to go use those facilities unless you go all the way around the property. Addionally, the outhouse is a bit of a trek, about a 2-3 minute walk. Sue et al was very accommodating helping us find a better spot to set up once we realized the camping area for tents was right beside the tipi area as we have a dog that likes to bark at strangers and didnt want to ruin any one elses vacations with my dogs voice. A lovely family and people that are involved in the farm, and lovely property outside of these things. It felt very very private while at the tipi while no one one was in the tenting area but if someone were to book while you were there it would be a lot less private.

Farm Valley Meadow campsites
A lovely small Meadow on an Impressive organic farm. I recommend wholeheartedly, while also adding that you should know that you will have to pack your tent and supplies in and that the outhouse is a fair distance away.. there is also noise from the nearby road, but I did not find it intrusive. I enjoyed meeting and talking with Sue, the host, and was happy to think that the money that she receives from renting out accommodations on her land can help her very important contribution to organic farming.
