Welcome to Dashwood Meadows! We are located in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island.
This is a hobby farm with sheep, mini goats, donkey, dog and cat. We grow berries, plums, cherries, nuts and wildflowers. Child-friendly and family friendly
environment. You can walk the labyrinth of forest trails nearby.
There is a beach 9 km from the farm. Lakes, rivers, waterfalls, provincial parks,
caves, golf courses, children's playgrounds and country markets, all within less than an hour's drive.
In Qualicum Beach, you will find amazing sandy beaches, picture-perfect views, world-class biking and hiking trails, salt-tinged ocean air, and the small town charm of our communities.
Seeing goats on a roof, exploring underground caves, strolling endless beaches at low tide, and walking among ancient old-growth forests are just some of the experiences you’ll be able to tell your friends about back home.
The campsite is a warm and welcoming retreat for those who enjoy a farm-like atmosphere with friendly hosts and charming animals, including a mini donkey and a friendly dog. Visitors appreciate the sense of space, with fenced areas allowing dogs to roam freely, and a clean, well-equipped outhouse. The location offers peace and quiet, perfect for relaxation, yet remains conveniently close to the beach and local attractions. While the presence of trees might affect satellite connections, most guests find the experience delightful and plan to return.
Great site that is fully fenced so if you have dogs, they can run free. Hosts are very nice and welcoming. Easy to get to, although a bit tight backing our 24' trailer in through the gate. For those that use Starlink, it does have quite a few trees, but we found enough open sky to make it useable for general stuff, but probably not enough to stream.
We loved staying on Amanda's land! Quiet but not too far from the beach or restaurants. The camp area was enclosed so our dog could run around free, chatting with the donkey on the property.
Amanda greeted us when we arrived and was a wonderful host! She was fun to talk to and answered all of our questions. We had reserved Site 1, but since no other campers were there, she suggested we camp in 2 or 3 so we would be closer to the toilet. Everything was very clean and tidy, and I felt very safe there and had no worries about leaving all of our camping things there while we went exploring. I highly recommend Amanda's place to other campers.
Amanda and Pavel were tremendous hosts and even better people!
The site was clean and orderly, the dogs and animals were great company, and the location is conveniently located for exploring the area or as a rest stop for crossing the island.
A farm type experience, with a donkey, sheep and chickens and dog. No need for the alarm clock in morning. For the most part very peaceful and very nice host.
