Secluded tiny house nestled in the clear creek valley. Situated on a hillside within rock throwing distance of the creek. Off grid with gas heat and ecoflow air conditioner. Solar with propane back up generator. Acres of hiking, might have to share some space with our cattle. Located conveniently about 15 miles from Harrison and Buffalo River. Low water slab so inquire about water level. The lightning bug hideaway is beautifully situated in the clear creek valley, a stone's throw away from the creek, with wonderful views of the surrounding hills and bluffs. We provide chairs and hammock chairs with fire bowl, outdoor grill and small covered area to cook outside. There is an optional outdoor shower while the weather is agreeable. The property allows visitors to hike, play at the creek and is located near shopping centers such as Branson, MO.

Lovely peaceful retreat
We really enjoyed the quiet solitude, lounging in the creek, and vast expanse for our pup to roam. Rob was very accommodating with our last minute booking, gave a tour of the property, and checked on us via text a few times. It is an off grid tiny house but it has just about everything you need. We would definitely recommend!

Exceptional Place
Rob and Cathy’s property was some of the most beautiful we have seen! The creek was crystal clear flowing waters, plenty of deeper spots for wading too. They are extremely dog friendly on the property as well. We will be returning in the fall to do some trail walking and see some of the amazing natural wonders tucked away on this farm! Rob took the time to tell us all about the amazing piece of land; where the scenic spots were, and how they would camp all around as kids. As well as a little bit of history like how the springs and water system had changed over the years, some spots that were said to have been camped in by native Americans, just loads of really cool spots that we are eager to come back and see!

Amazing Private Hideaway!
We loved our stay at the Lightning Bug! Will definitely return for a little quiet getaway. Beautiful, peaceful, very private spot with cool, clear river access a short little walk from the cabin. Our dogs were in heaven roaming the property and swimming in the creek. The cabin is so cozy, plenty of nice amenities, don't need to pack much! Rob was so kind and responded so quickly to our questions. A little history about the town and his farm and a ride around some of the property in his side by side were an added bonus! Looking forward to returning :)

We accidentally showed up a day early but Rob said it was no problem. Rob was extremely nice and accommodating. I loved that Rob shared the land and towns history with us and encouraged us to explore the property. The stay was quiet and exactly what we needed. My favorite was definitely the cows checking up on us on the mornings. We met Cathy while out for dinner and she is very kind as well. We would 10/10 recommend.

We absolutely loved our time at the lightning bug hideaway! The cabin was charming, clean, and very private. Rob ensured we had everything we needed, had great communication with us, and was really such a pleasure to talk to! The cave on the land is a short hike away from the cabin and further up the hill is an awesome mushroom rock to check out! The creek had clear waters and was so fun to walk in and look at all of the fossils. It was lovely to have a propane fire pit where we didn’t have to go to bed smelling like smoke or worry about gathering wood. We also loved having a fence around the cabin where our dog could run around off leash. We will definitely be back again and thanks to Rob for setting us up so nicely!
