Welcome to Grassy Road Cabins and Camping. Here you will find 23 acres of rolling pasture accented by patches of forest and at the center a large recreational fishing pond. Placed perfectly in between two popular Buffalo National River Access Points: South Maumee and Spring Creek. Grassy Road currently offers: two tiny house cabins, 5 tent sites with 20 amp electric, 3 more primitive tent sites, and 10 RV sites that are full water/sewer hookups with 20/30/50 amp service. There is a private two unit bathhouse with hot showers! This campground is designed to operate remotely through partners like Hipcamp without owners or managers always on site. All check-ins and check-outs will be done self service.
The owners have kayaks and life jackets that are available to borrow they ask that you message them before and be sure to return them in good condition. There is firewood for sale provided by a neighboring friend. There are several trails that criss-cross the property, and we encourage everyone to explore just be safe and try to give other vacationers their privacy.
Really nice campground but site 8 is close to highway 27, which is heavily traveled. If you’re looking for piece and quite, pick a site farther from the roadway. That’s my fault 100%. I didn’t think the hwy would be that busy but it is. The restrooms and shower area is very nice.
Beautiful and clean camp ground. A nice place to stay especially if you are planning on river activities. Host Jonathan was very impressive. He was quick to respond with any questions we had.
This was our second time to camp on Jonathon's land and what a treat it was! The fall colors were putting on a show and the amazing event that Jonathan and Kaitlyn put on was fantastic! The grounds are immaculate! The new luxury 'tent' he recently put up is amazing. You can tell that the owners put their hearts into this campground and continue to add great amenities to it!
The area was really pretty. The full hookup RV sites are located relatively close together, however the tent sites are spaced beautifully, overlooking the meadows. The awesome tree house is great and the quaint stocked pond is in a serene setting and full of wildlife . We were the only ones there the entire 4 days and we enjoyed walking thru the open meadows and viewing the abundant stars every night. The new bathhouses are amazing, clean and have lots of hot water for showers. The Buffalo River is just a short drive down the road and there are quaint little towns nearby to visit. Jonathan has done a great job on his property and is continuing to add more amenities to it. Looking forward to returning in October for the outdoor concert Jonathan is planing!
Great campground! Close proximity to areas along the lower Buffalo River. Great sunrise/sunset views, and my favorite was sitting out by the campfire and enjoying the view of the Milky Way!
This was our first time staying at this campground and it was really nice. They have a treehouse and a tree swing the grandkids just loved. There was also a really nice pond there and we were even able to bring our dogs. We loved the country setting and the fact
the campground was still close enough to town that we were able to grab things we forgot.
Jonathon and his family were all really nice.
Btw we were still able to have 5G cell service which came in handy when it rained the biggest part of one of our days there.
Highly recommend this campground.
