Camp Cock-A-Doodle Site 2
Highly rated by youngsters
It was a nice and quite place to slow down, kickback and enjoy the rhythm and sound of nature. There were fire pits and wood already set up along with toilet room. The boys explored and found some cool native plants and mushroom patches. Kids also got to experience cicadas up close. The gravel roads leading to site were easy to navigate and the locals were pleasant.

Camp Cock-A-Doodle Site 3
Cockadoodle do it!
Jessica came to welcome us briefly, she was very nice and we enjoyed camping at Cockadoodle! Bring earplugs if you plan to sleep in because the cockadoodling starts at dawn, but it added to the charm of the whole experience. There was a rustic outhouse but we brought our own. The site is just off the dirt road, but there was very little traffic in the neighborhood as we only saw a few cars all weekend. There were stone firepits and plenty of wood laying around to burn since the lot was recently cleared. It's very quiet at night except a few dogs barking in the distance here and there. The dogwoods were in bloom and they were all around the site. All in all it was a great secluded place to watch the eclipse together.
