40 acres. Heavily treed with juniper. Hilly and lots of private areas. I have a cabin on septic. And an RV on septic. I have a well for filling rv or water tanks. Perfect spot to bring your RV. Anasazi pottery everywhere to look at but not take. Leave it where you found it. Corral area for your horses. This listing is for camping and rv's see my other listings for cabin or rv rental. 29 miles away you have the Petrified Forest. This expansive park covers 230 square miles of Arizona desert, extending into the badlands and the Painted Desert. The Petrified Forest is famous for its fossilized trees, which fell about 225 million years ago. There's also spectacular colored rocks, a result of the Chinle Formation. Hike, sightsee and photograph your way through this unique landscape of grandiose geology. Hiking and backpacking abound but beware of the region's high altitude and dry, windy climate. For some of the best backcountry trails in the country, head to Red Basin or Martha's Butte. Grab a backcountry permit and wander at will. If you're new to the hiking game, book a guided hike and let the experts lead you to the best vistas around. Backcountry camping within the park itself is your best bet for lodging, but if all that open space sounds a little, dare we say...petrifying, nearby private campgrounds are available. There's also good camping in Canyon de Chelly National Monument and El Morro National Monument. Just a little further you have Lyman Lake State Park. At an elevation of 6,000 feet, Lyman Lake State Park is one of the best ways to beat the Arizona heat with summer days hovering in the 80’s and 1,500 acres of water to jump into. The behemoth lake can be experienced along shoreline trails where petroglyphs grace the rocks and jackrabbits scurry through the wildflowers. But let’s be real, you came to get wet! There’s plenty of splish splashing to be had; jet skis, speed boats, canoes, and kayakers all share these waters. There’s no better way to take to the lake than skimming the surface on an inner-tube. Anglers can enjoy the quiet west end of Lyman, word is the walleye and bass hang here in the no wake zone. Canyon nearby for hiking and exploring. short drive to get there. 4x4 recommended. Bring your own atv, or ohv. must stay on dirt roads. Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them.
