AFTER DARK CHECK IN SITE #13
Nice private campground. The road to get to it is pretty rough, and it does appear to cross Navajo Territory. You don't need 4wd, but you probably won't make it with a low clearance vehicle.
My site was nice and level with plenty of room to stake my tent.

I enjoyed this experience! The hosts were welcoming and wonderful, and as someone who enjoys being o-natural I enjoyed the free-spirited vibe. Their spot is super cool, but be advised that it's WAY out in the desert down a long dirt road (tricky to get to in my Prius but we made it). They were very chill about my naughty puppy, too. <3

Dark Sky and peaceful
Naked Skull Campground offers a wonderful escape into nature with its beautiful scenery and well-maintained facilities. It's perfect for those looking to enjoy hiking, stargazing and relaxing in a serene environment. The hosts, Donavin and Linda, were very welcoming and made sure I was comfortable. I had a bit of car trouble when leaving and Linda and Donavin helped me out tremendously! I had such a fantastic time and would definitely return!

Amazing.
The place was absolutely amazing. The scenery at night is beautiful.
The road to get there is a county road but very accessible with a regular car - we got there with a VW passat, no problems. We were warmly welcomed and the campsite was scenic (for someone not used to the desert).
In the morning, the host offers us fresh water. Very lovely interactions.
