Kick n Ass mule ranch
I grew up on a farm and for that reason I looked forward to this location, and the fact it is close to where I live. Eric met me as soon as I arrived, explained where I should park and explained the facilities at the ranch. He answered my questions re. his animals, including the farm dogs that roam about and also questions I had about local agriculture. I enjoyed the peaceful pace, the freedom to wander about, pet the mules and enjoy the star-filled sky like I haven't seen for years! This was my first Hipcamp experience and I was very happy with the Ranch and Eric as host.

Eric is well set up for hosting folks traveling with animals, but people not familiar with barnyards might be disappointed. We had our two large dogs with us, and were very amused to see their reactions to the mules and horses. Our midnight dog walking was greeted by an alarm donkey who thought we had gotten too far away from the RVs for the middle off the night. We would be happy to stay again, but hopefully at a cooler time of year.

Loved the views of the surrounding mountains. The mules and horses were great to pet. Eric's dogs were very friendly and lovable.
Camp was clean, level and well maintained.
Will definitely come again when we pass through again.

Great stay outside of the city
Eric’s place is a true gem. We spent our 1st night in our van and in AZ at Eric’s property and got to wake up to a magical desert sunrise among mules! We took a few wrong turns trying to find Eric’s land but he answered right away and helped us find where we needed to be. Highly recommend.

Kick n Ass mule ranch
This was a unique and fun find 2 day one or two nights and enjoy a new experience. I do want to say it was very difficult to locate the RV park, the ranch but the hosts, Eric, was easy to communicate with any got us there. We had a really nice time petting and feeding the mules the donkeys and horses and enjoyed the splendid View oh, not to mention the spectacular nights. I would be remiss if I did not mention the quaint little Mexican Cafe about a mile down the road which has the best food, very authentic and the chips and salsa were just delightful.
