Juniper Hill Ranch

Valle, Coconino, Arizona
10 acres hosted by Christina L.

Long ago, these ten acres that make up Juniper Hill Ranch were inhabited by the Havasupai people, known as "the People of the Blue Green Water" for their relationship with the nearby Colorado River that carved the Grand Canyon.  For the last 150 years or so, the land has been used by various ranchers to raise sheep and cattle, and it still is to this day.  Now the land in this little town of "Valle" (better known as Grand Canyon Junction, to the locals) is being subdivided and sold off by the descendants of old homesteaders.  We were fortunate enough to get our hands on ten acres of this beautiful, historical patch of desert that we now call Juniper Hill.  We hope that you will appreciate the rich history, the nearby wonders of the world, the wildlife that we share this place with, and the Wild West vibes that you feel when you're here. Learn more about this land: Juniper Hill Ranch is located 25 minutes south of the entrance to Grand Canyon National Park and 35 minutes from historic Route 66 in Williams, Arizona. Four large RV sites sit nestled in the juniper trees on just over 10 acres of private land with views of the San Francisco peaks, abundant wildlife, and unparalleled stargazing. Juniper Hill was created for road-weary travelers who want the privacy and quiet beauty of Boondocking, but with some amenities like graveled drive and parking area, fresh water (in-site sewer hookups to come, but for now we have a service that comes and empties the tanks up here) and a fire pit. There is no stay limit at Juniper Hill and we welcome you to join us for as long as you like with discounts for longer term stays.  We have a minimum stay requirement of one week.  This is because we're more than an RV park.  We're building a community for those of us who live life on the road and encourage people to stay with us for longer terms to fully experience this place.  We’re only 2.5 miles from the highway, gas stations, general store, restaurant, cafe, and more on a newly improved dirt/gravel road. During dry months, the property is accessible by any vehicle. During the monsoon season (June - Sept), we recommend a higher clearance vehicle/trailer combo, like a truck or SUV with 4 wheel drive. Feel free to contact us for current road conditions.
