We offer various camping accommodations, as well as a teepee. See our different listings for info on each. A few choice examples of local activities to do on or very near to our campsite include: Bird watching, hiking, river rafting or tubing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, stargazing, and even rockhounding. This area conforms to the Arizona Dark Sky initiative, and while we are not dark-sky certified, we've had several guests compliment us on our location. When it comes to rockhounding, or amateur geology, this is a fantastic area for exploration and study.  The cliff walls of the Verde River offer clear and distinct sedimentary layers, and the frequent flooding of the massive sandy riverbed reveals countless undiscovered treasures. We gladly welcome pets, including horses, as long as the guests inform us of their presence, and takes care of all their needs, including cleaning up any mess. There is a professional horse-boarding field and stables adjacent to our property, and a long pleasant trail allows horseback riders to follow the Verde Greenway into Old Town Cottonwood if they so desire. Please remember that this is a natural and secluded spot located directly adjacent to the state-maintained Verde Ripparian Greenway and the Verde River. This means you may encounter wildlife and pests associated with being in such close connection to nature. Be prepared to tuck your food away and bring ample protection from the insects.

Circle of Trees (Site #3)
Great camping and a beautiful prope
Absolutely fantastic campsite. Great tree cover from sun, and simple but great camp amenities. The camp host was super communicative about the site and area and even pointed the way to a beautiful swimming hole walking distance from the property. Awesome place!

Circle of Trees (Site #3)
Lots of bug's maybe it’s just that time of year. Also we don’t mind having neighbors but the other campsite were really close to each other (no privacy) thankfully we were the only ones there the weekend. Overall we had a great weekend. The “port-a-potty“ on site restroom was extremely clean and smell free. I liked that there was a soap and a water hose to wash our hands. Would recommend this site.

Riverwalk Site #7
Great location! Clean port-a-potties with hand washing near by. The river is great to walk along, but very brown and I would not recommend swimming. Clean, large campsite with a table and fire ring! Beautiful trees!

Circle of Trees (Site #3)
We loved the experience. Vicky was a great host and very responsive to questions. Hiking on the property to the river was beautiful. The spots are a little close together, but this is our first HipCamp experience, we typically just camp on BLM so we are more used to solitude, but it was very peaceful. Site #3 is the closest to the portapotties and to the hose with fresh well water, which was extremely convenient. Downtown Cottonwood is about a 5 minute drive away and has amazing restaurants and shops to explore. You can also see Jerome from the property up on the mountain, it was pretty close also. So plenty of things to do in nature and explore the surrounding towns for historical sites too. We will definitely be back. One tip for next time, the dirt is like silt, bring a camping rug or some tarps to put down. Lots of ants and mosquitoes too. That was our only "complaint" but it is not really a complaint.

3 times in 4 weeks
I’ve been here three times in the last four weeks. It’s a fantastic campground that’s less than two hours away from me and Tempe. Thank you, Vicky.
