Our story begins with a little old lady, our grandma, who believed with all her heart that we were worth it. She passed a few years ago, and what better way to honor her belief in us than to create Ethel's Hideout. We came from a small ranching family, which has brought us closer than we ever imagined. Hard work and dedication were imprinted on us from a young age. On this land we have built an RV pull-through, camp sites, and horse stalls. One day we hope to have some small cabins to share with you all. Ethel's is your home away from home.  We border agriculture and sate and public lands which provides an authentic western experience. Though tucked away to give the illusion of seclusion, we are located only 7 miles from downtown Kanab Utah. Kanab features many fun and exciting events throughout the year. Located right in the heart of several national parks, Zions, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell and many more fun things to tour. Hook ups include power and water. Our most unique feature is horse stalls on site. Bring your horses with you and reserve stalls for them as well. Our convenient location offers direct access to ride on public lands. Traveling with horses? We have just the spot with (8) 12′ x 14′ covered stall. Contact us to book stalls for your horses to stay over night with you.

Love it!
Great location and lovely sites. The picnic table was perfect for cooking dinner on and there is plenty of room for tents and chairs. We adored seeing the cows in the distance and the water station by the horse stable was very appreciated especially after a long day of hiking in Zion. Super close to Kanab which was one of our favorite spots in the area.

We used this site as ground zero for lots of exploring. It was perfect! We will definitely be back. Easily accessible with our 37 ft. Class A

TentSite 4 - Authentic Kanab. Tent
Unbelievable location! Beautiful scenery with very little light pollution so the stargazing was incredible. Felt safe and private and nice little touches to the site. Provided picnic table made this very convenient. The location was also just far enough from Zion that it wasn't touristy busy but let us quickly get into the park in the morning! Would recommend to anyone.

Ethel's Hideaway was an incredible stop near Kanab. The 360 views from the campground and fun hiking in the area had us feeling regret that we didn't book a longer stay here.

Beautiful
Very well maintained and self-check in was very clear and organized. Marci was a great communicator too. We arrived just in time for a beautiful sunset. We didn’t see any horses unfortunately, but the land was beautiful.

Great night spent under amazing night sky!!! This place was great!!! Loved the views was easy to find and host was very responsive! Will definitely be back if we are in the area!
