Our family home is just outside historic central phoenix, where we used to live on dirt roads and among lots of horse properties. Since then the city has expanded far and wide, putting us close to the center yet next to acres and acres of mountain preserves like Dreamy Draw Park, with a trailhead at the end of our street, an acre of property to ourselves which is rare, and in a quiet neighborhood. (still with horses nearby!)  I built this treehouse as a work space and studio during covid, as I work remotely doing admin for a luxury treehouse construction company. Our family still lives in the house and we welcome guests to use the treehouse. The large windows allow for great views and are mostly hidden behind all of the tree branches. Enjoy the treehouse experience and wonderful views of our quiet neighborhood next to the mountains!  Learn more about this land: Walk up the ramp and disappear into the branches of our giant pine tree. You'll find a large deck suspended in the trees and a cozy little treehouse with giant windows. No one would ever expect a treehouse in a quiet neighborhood of Phoenix, but our 1 acre lot with 50 year old pine trees is a little hidden gem. Views from our front yard are beautiful and no one will even notice you're there. Walk up the ramp and disappear into the branches of our giant pine tree. No one would ever expect a treehouse in a quiet neighborhood of Phoenix, but our 1 acre lot with 40 year old pine trees is a little hidden gem. Views from inside the tree are beautiful and you'll go mostly unnoticed! There is a mobile home about 25 yards away with running water and a bathroom for you. I prefer not to keep the water heater on, but if you are staying multiple days and need a shower we can get it going. There is good wifi signal in the treehouse and a fresh water tank. If you stay more than one night you'll see me and my family going in and out the front door and walking our dog, but we'll always be behind and under the treehouse, never looking in (I built it with that in mind). I bought a futon bed for the treehouse, but it ended up being too small! (fits about 5'2" max without your feet hanging off.) So I've added also two sections of 8" foam mattress for a couch on the floor that pulls out into a two-person bed. (smaller than full size mattress though).  The treehouses is watertight, no worry about rain, but it is not airtight so its like camping but without all the wind! For that reason I prefer not to use heaters in there kept on unless its just to warm your hands. But for now and for the rest of the season it should be nice at night and I'll provide enough blankets!

Best Sleep Ever!
Staying overnight in a treehouse has long been on my wish list. But getting to stay 5 nights was absolute heaven! Best sleep of my life. The interior of the treehouse is crescent shaped and cozy, which I found perfect for just myself. Personally, I'd have felt crowded with another person staying there, but I was also seeking solitude, which this wonderful space provided. I loved the interior and exterior layouts, the lava lamp, the wifi, and the deck of the treehouse. Getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom in the nearby camper was no big deal, and actually added to the sense that I was "away." And yet, the property is ideally located for easy access to restaurants, shopping, nature trails, and Planet Fitness, where my membership allowed me to shower. (For vegetarian and vegan friends, I highly recommend Veggie Village as a dining out/takeout option. My visiting carnivore chef friend also found the food so delicious, she ordered extra to take home.) Niko and family couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. I look forward to future stays at the treehouse. It's the perfect place to rest, recharge, relax, or even write a book! A friend and her granddaughter came for a picnic at the treehouse one day, and, after eating, they both went up into the treehouse and immediately fell asleep - it was so peaceful. (They loved their naps, and they loved the tree, whose name, it turns out, is Harriet. Harriet means, "house ruler," which is quite appropriate.)

Simple, fun experience for a short stay. Pleasant, helpful hosts. Lack of plumbing, despite access to the rv trailer, was a downfall.

Treehouse escape
The treehouse is really nice and clean. We were supplied with several blankets and pillows. The sleeping area, although small, was very comfortable. Phone chargers were available and plugged in, which was nice. We didn’t get to use the bathroom as we discovered it was out of water. Niko offered us a late check-out, in return (we arrived late and didn’t notice the issue with the bathroom until midnight). The instructions were very clear and we had no problem finding our way despite our late arrival. Niko communicated with us well while also maintaining a private experience for us.
