It's rare to find a place to camp that's AUTHENTIC, HISTORIC, WILD WEST and offers amenities. The 1899 Historic Hotel offers free hotel tours, Gold Panning onsite, Outdoor picnic tables, Parties and Events, Adventure Tours to our Gold Mines - you can see in the distance from the 1899 Historic Hotel. On site there is a BBQ area, bathrooms, showers, 30 campsites for tents and large RV's with water and septic dump area. BYOB and BYO electric. : ) The camp spots are extra large, each one has gravel and asphalt to minimize dust and dirt. We have bathrooms and showers and an outdoor cowboy shower. There are nature walks next to the property, as well as horse trails. We have community parties with music, campfires, vendors, and food. Look out for special events like a chili cook off and the Gold Miner Distillery doing a whiskey taste testing. This is the roping capital of America so you will be surrounded by bull riders, cowboys and miners - for real! Wickenburg is 10 minutes away with restaurants and everything cowboy. Hostess were so helpful and kind! We just happened to book during an Arizona excessive heat warning period. We and our dogs were miserable as our RV struggled to stay cool enough. Allergies and asthma were also a factor with the super dry desert. We will return once our temps offer a reprieve.

Very private. Some road noise. Good price. Very functional. Train and road noise if you are prepared.

1899 Historic Hotel Campsite
The 1899 Hotel is a unique historic location. There's a bit of noise from the 60, which is to be expected, but the sites are large, there is a beautiful bathroom/shower facility, and a nice picnic area. Great place for a weekend away and if you are traveling through on the third Saturday of the month, they also do murder mystery dinners!

Nice camping close to Phoenix. Lots are spacious and with water. Lisa's knowledge of the history of the area is interesting and informative. Her personality sparks friendliness and sensation. Recommending as we'll keep coming back.
