Historically rich area with lots to see. Learn more about this land: Salmon Grove is a small campground on the Klutina River in Copper Center, Alaska. We have large coin-operated showers, a handicap-friendly outhouse, dump station, water, tackle shop and awesome salmon fishing. Fishing for the famous Copper River Salmon is good right from camp. Enjoy a short hike to the nearby Copper River. You can expect most sites that are on the water to have limited privacy due to the popular location. If you are the type that likes the more secluded feel we also have tent sites set back from the water that are surrounded by trees and thick vegetation for a more private feel. Half-Day Salmon Fishing experience

Join us for a real deal salmon fishing adventure! Half-Day fishing charters by river raft run 5 hours, targeting Copper River king or Copper River red salmon. All our half-day fishing trips start with a van ride to the launch point where we begin our river fishing adventure. Tasty salmon are not the only wildlife you might see along the way, keep an eye out for lynx, bears, moose, sheep and bald eagles. Salmon Grove is the perfect place to fish for Alaska's most coveted stock of wild salmon.

Would HIGHLY recommend Salmon Grove Campground and other activities. We have been going last few years and just love the location. Stephanie, Dan, and the crew go above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience!

If you’re into salmon fishing, and do not mind being crammed into a dirt lot with other campers, this might work for you. When we arrived, a friendly gentleman tried to help us find a spot to park. He didn’t know anything about Hip Camp or how it works. I had used insta-book a half hour before arriving, so I was unfortunately not able to get a refund. For me, the description of this camp wasn’t very accurate.

We’ve stayed with Stephanie at Salmon Grove twice and love it! Great location right on the Klutina where you can fish from the banks. Awesome option if you’re into fishing.
