Our yurt is located on a 16 acre lot on the hills of Murphy Dome. We are in the heart of the Tanana Valley State Forest and next to historic Cache Creek. With only 25 mins from the city of Fairbanks, you get to enjoy great scenic views of the remote Alaska range, Denali, excellent access to many key trails offering numerous recreational opportunities including: Hunting, fishing, trapping, hiking, biking, ATV, dog mushing, cross-country skiing, wildlife viewing, and berry-picking.Our main house and sled dog kennel is next to the yurt, but you will have complete privacy, our dogs are well behaved. However, if you need suggestion, owners are long-time residents and professional wildlife biologists (trained in botany, Ornithology, animal husbandry-sled dogs, and beekeeping) with plenty of local knowledge and suggestions to share! This yurt is powered by solar and is a dry yurt, meaning there is not plumbing or indoor bathroom. Instead, guests have access to a private outhouse on the property.
