The main cabin here at The Grove was established as a saloon back (The Olde Tyme Saloon) in the early 1980's where the young town of Talkeetna was a rather rough and tumble place. The property has since gone through a few different iterations (Whole Wheat Radio, etc.), and currently (...finally), we have been able to manifest our passions here as a permaculture farmstead with a rich, regenerative diversity of life and life-sustaining elements, including food, building materials, fuelwood, and soap just to name a few. Additionally, this place has been, and continues to be home to many a community event, including house concerts, yoga retreats, community farm dinners, and fundraisers. Come be a part of history, sustainability, and community gathering at The Grove.

    Farmstead Camping at The Grove!
    Camping at Farmstead Grove
    We camped on Graham and Mindy’s land for three nights. The facilities are fantastic (clean, modern and full of things you didn’t even know you needed - like a soda stream or a popcorn machine!) Really great to have the option of a hot shower, laundry facilities or a lace to cook and store food while camping. We lit a fire one night, too, to keep the bugs at bay. Graham and Mindy obviously care a lot about their property - warm and peaceful vibes from the moment we arrived. Their kid and dog are really cute, too. Highly recommend!

    Amazing place in Talkeetna!
    This place is amazing!! We really appreciated the super comfortable, clean, and hospitable common space. The shower and restroom are superb. The pictures don’t do it justice. Graham and Mindy are super great and answered all our questions. And it was a short drive to downtown talkeetna.
