Hairy Hiker Woods is centrally located for easy access to the local lakes for boating, fishing, and kayaking. Local hiking in the gorgeous nature that our Alabama State Parks and Talladega National Forest have to offer, and nearby favorites for swimming at Flat Rock State Park at Lake Wedowee. We are Located near the tallest peak in Alabama, Mt. Cheaha. Enjoy Mt. Cheaha's sunset vistas as you explore Bald Rock, Cheaha Falls, and Mt. Cheaha Lake for fun in the sun. Retreat back to camp for a warm fire where you can get cozy in the rolling hills of Hairy Hiker Woods for sweet dreams and be lulled to sleep by the sounds of nature.
Our local celebrity, Big Foot, calls the Hairy Hiker Woods his home too, and if you are lucky, you may just catch a glimpse of him around the property during your stay. He's a pretty chill guy, but kind of shy, so good luck! He is the international Hide and Seek Champion, after all.
Back-in RV site has full hookup for 30/50amp power, water, and septic access. (3 sites available separately on the property - group rates available) We allow your furry (ahem, hairy) best friends to come along, too! (leash or pet fencing required)
