Argo’s Park & Trails
Jimmy’s land was beautiful, quiet, peaceful and safe! We loved wandering the trails and playing disc golf with our new pup. We had such a nice time with that we stayed an extra night!!! Jimmy was really friendly, helpful and delightful to talk with! We will absolutely stay again when our travels take us this way!!

Easiest Hipcamp stay yet. Jimmy gives clear directions. Place is better than advertised. Super convenient to I-65.

Peaceful place
Loved the place so much, I extended my stay!
Great cell signal so my hotspot worked well. I had several Zoom meetings while on site. (Yes, I had to work. Bummer.)
Plus, I loved that my cat could roam freely. It's hard finding a spot where my cat can play in the woods and enjoy himself. This was perfect.

Alabama Retreat under the stars
This spot is easy to find and feels secluded without actually being too far from the things I needed in town. The campsites are comfortable and nicely spaced so as not to be overcrowded. I was solo camping and had no issues it was a great stay.

Do I have to leave?
This is the type of peaceful place you don't want to leave. I was lucky enough to have the place to myself for a few nights. It's also large enough (and the campsites spaced out far enough) that if others were camping here, I wouldn't have to see anyone. Each site has a fire ring and, even though you can purchase crates of firewood, there were downed branches and twigs piled in each fire ring to get you started. I love the greenery here, and the woods behind you. It's perfect for solo stays or group adventures. Camping in a tent would be lovely here. I had my RV and woke to make my coffee each morn and sit outside. I ended up booking two additional nights.
Jimmy is a gracious host who stayed in contact with me when I needed him but also gave me all the space to be at peace on his land.
If you have an RV, there's plenty of space to maneuver around. You'll be boondocking, but Jimmy allowed me to access an outlet to recharge my battery and hose to refill my water tank.
I work remotely and this spot had great cell service which gave me full connectivity for my hotspot. I had several video meetings with no problem.
From here, you can access downtown Birmingham in 20-ish minutes. If you want an outdoor adventure, go hike Ruffner Mountain. There's lots to do or do nothing at all and just enjoy the land.

Jimmy was a great host! He welcomed my dog and me shortly after we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. The property is lovely and conveniently located. Jimmy’s instructions for arrival were clear and helpful. I’d definitely stay again when passing through Alabama.
