Moon Garden Farm is a 25 acre farm, located off Highway 11 near the town of Mountain View. Beautiful views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa are visible on clear sunny days. The 1500 foot elevation gives a great view of the ocean as well. Mountain View is located between beautiful, quaint Hilo and the spectacular Volcano National Park, each about 15 miles in either direction. Sheep, cattle and feral pigs can be seen in the lower pasture. There are 4 ponds and two are stocked with tilapia and catfish. Fish nets are provided for the children. The grounds are beautifully manicured with creative topiary's and lends itself to great photo shoots. Jaboticaba, bananas, lemons, calamansi, and several other fruit trees can be found on the farm. Yours to eat when in season. Moon Garden Farm is a magical place and I'm sure you will feel it too. For larger organizational groups please contact me and let's make it work for you.

Delightful!
What a delightful stay! Totally enjoyed the peace and quiet. The amenities available felt luxurious mid camping week. Highly recommend.

Super nice and friendly host
Mae is super nice and friendly host, her dogs are adorable. The camp ground and land is specious and has everything you need, love the outdoor shower and restroom has the power socket to charge phone, camera. location is within reasonable distance to Hilo and it very quiet area. during our time it was raining continuously for few days but with the gazebo, we were still able to made some breakfast and chill and slept well with the sound of lovely orchestra by insects when it rained

Wonderful stay at Moon Garden Farms. Mae goes out of her way to keep the place in tip-top shape and make you feel welcome. Very clean!

Camping w/extras!
Mae is such a wonderful and kind host. We need more Mae’s in the world:) Our experience: We camped for 1 night. Think of camping with extra perks. It really is a lovely set up. Flush Toilet, outside shower with hot water, towels, washcloths to use, a covered area w/ table and chairs, a bench, a picnic table with an umbrella. Outside sink with tons of counter space. Friendly canines, a curious pig, and fish in 2 large ponds were also part of the experience. And tons of grassy hills to keep the little ones busy. Family and I had a great time. Definitely will be back again but for a longer stay. At night when the kids were asleep, Husband and I sat on the grassy hill above one of the ponds snuggled in our jackets- moon was bright, stars were out, coqui frogs were doing their thing. It was so peaceful, just gorgeous.

Perfect camping
It's a beautiful farm with plenty of landscaped yard and animals to enjoy. The bathhouse was great and canopy she provided with extra chairs and table were perfect and so welcome. Mae was very friendly and made sure everything was working for us.

Calme avec belles prestations
Le terrain est vraiment immense et la propriété de Maé est impeccable et calme. On est resté 2 nuits avec un soulagement, après avoir passé des nuits dans des campings publics sans trop de conforts et beaucoup de vis à vis. Chez Maé, tout y est, douche, toilettes, serviettes, lavabo, tente avec moustiquaire et qui nous a aussi protégé de la pluie. Merci Maé pour ton excellent accueil et ta gentillesse !
