A small family owned and operated 5 acre pasture raised poultry farm. This is a working farm that sells poultry meat and eggs to the local community. If you have ever wondered what it might be like to live on a poultry farm -- this is it! Depending on the time of year there may also be bee hives located on the far back or very front of our pastures. Due to biosecurity measures you do not have full access to roam the entire farm and pastures. However, the RV spot is placed with a view of most farm activities. Our farm is home to free roaming hens, roosters, geese, quail, guinea fowl, ducks, turkeys and pigs. We have 4 livestock guardian dogs that keep our animals safe from predators. Both the birds and the dogs do make noise, so please keep that in mind. It's all part of farm life ! While we love animals and would love to invite your pets to stay, due to the nature of our guardian dogs we do not allow any pets.
There is grated spot for your RV with electric, water and septic hook-ups. Our farm is in operation 7 days a week and there may be poultry processing that is completed during your stay.Nestled in-between Lake Okeechobee and the Atlantic ocean, sits our pasture raised poultry farm in Indiantown. Family owned and operated, Firefly Farm produces locally sold poultry and eggs. Indiantown is a village that sits off the St. Lucie Canal which connects to both the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Okeechobee. Two miles up the road are access points to Allappatah Flats WMA. This is a state operated management area that offers hiking, fishing, biking and nature trails. Our farm is home to chickens (some are roosters), turkeys, geese, quail, ducks, pheasants and guinea fowl. Be aware that birds do make noise, it's all part of farm life! We raise, processes and sells a wide range of poultry products from the flocks that call our farm home. We use livestock guardian dogs for flock protection and for this reason we do not allow any pets. The RV pad is loose gravel, 36 x 18, and it overlooks the area of the farm. There is also a 36 x 20 grass area next to RV pad that you are welcome to use. We have parking for one vehicle but if you need to park a boat or other type of trailer it can be arranged. This is a working farm and we ask that you respect the animals.
