Desert Camping on Reservoir Oasis
As my wife said, “It’s in the middle of nowhere.” That is actually a very good thing. The reservoir was a huge hit for my dog. He loves retrieving his frisbee in water. The place was fairly easy to find. A couple comments: biting flies and mosquitoes are a thing. If it rains hard, you may be staying longer than you wanted. Our two-wheel drive truck was fine getting there. Another guy had an SUV and had no trouble.

Highly recommend staying here if you’re considering it, the views were amazing. Very remote and extremely private

Desert Camping on Reservoir Oasis
Really pretty spot tucked about 3 miles off of a ranch access road. Lots of open space where we watched storms roll in last night. We decided to camp closer to the exit (with the hosts permission) because we were concerned with getting out the dirt road with rain forecasted for the morning. So glad we did as we slid our way out and we have 4 x 4! Lisa was easy to communicate with and friendly. I would encourage you to get directions to her place specifically though because GPS took us the wrong way. I would definitely look to stay again if I am in the area though

Desert Camping on Reservoir Oasis
Private and beautiful
I LOVED camping here! I was the only human for a few miles. Water birds were floating and happily feasting on the reservoir's bounty and a cricket serenaded me from a nearby bush. A child rainstorm blew through while I was cozy in my van.
One caution. Do NOT use your GPS. It will definitely lead you astray. Follow the host's directions.
