Discover Point Beach State Forest's sandy shores and historic lighthouse.
There’s nothing quite like watching the sun come up over open water. Pair that with an epic outdoor agenda and a nice sun tan and you’ve got yourself a bona fide hootenanny! After the sun comes up it's all hoots 'n' hollers while splashing in the medium sized waves of Lake Michigan and the 17 miles of combined hiking and biking trails. While you’re there, snap a clip of the Rawley Point Lighthouse to ensue envy in all of your fellow Snap Chatters. Pics or it didn’t happen. No pics, more power to ya.
The best time to visit Point Beach State Forest is during the summer months when the weather is warm and the lake is inviting. However, the park is open year-round from 6am to 11pm, offering a different kind of beauty each season. Winter brings a quiet, snowy landscape, while spring and fall offer cooler temperatures and fewer crowds.
