A peaceful evening
I loved camping here. We were the only group and it was stunning and private, very peaceful. Kid friendly, cats, dogs, and some wild bunnies!

Great Site!
I came down for a motorcycle event and loved the one night I stayed at the site. Dispersed camping is at Ashley's family home's "back 40" acres as it's called in WI. House is withing view of the campsite; and it's a small walk to get to the water spigot, and outhouse, but pitch black at night and the camping area is very well maintained as the host uses it for her photography business.
Getting to the house requires some gravel riding, and getting to the campsites requires some riding on grass, but this wasn't an issue as the roads and yard are well-maintained.
The creek and woods provided an amazing acoustic backdrop to a night of rest.
10/10 would love to stay again.

This sight was stunning! Surrounded by wildflowers and the sound of a nearby creek we had the best time here. Ashley was helpful and a great host. Our sight included both a picnic table and a fire pit which made the whole weekend even easier than we had anticipated. Plus sleeping with plush grass under our tent made for an extra soft landing at the end of the day. Private, peaceful, and all five of us had plenty of space! We do recommend making sure you pack extra bug spray as the greenery is lush on site!

This was a a beautiful spot to camp. The creek is small but had enough water to make a nice little creek sound, it was very relaxing to listen to at night. The outhouse is well-built and wasn't too cold at night, and it didn't smell! Potable water is available and it tasted fine to us. It was great to be the only campers, and the campsite felt very quiet and private. We saw a friendly and helpful host early on, but after that we didn't see anyone else.
The walk to the water and outhouse might feel long if you're used to state parks, but it's a nice walk. Bring some containers for water, though.
On the down side, it was very hard to find! Google Maps took us down a gravel road and then said we had arrived when there was nothing around us but fields. I don't want to give the host's address to the world, but here are some tips that might help. We were coming from Madison.
1) The host's address is on XX Dr.
2) The address is right on the intersection of two country roads. We were driving along YY Rd, but that turned into XX Dr without any notice at all! The change happens right at the intersection.
3) At the intersection, Maps told us to turn onto a gravel road. This road is part of XX Dr, but not the part you want. You want to be on the paved part of XX Dr.
4) We texted ahead of time to let Ashley know about when we expected to arrive. When we showed up, we basically parked by the little bridge and looked confused. A host soon showed up to tell us where to go.

Great camping for our fam!
Tent camping here was great! Loved the grass site and how big it was, which was awesome for our toddler to run around, and the birds and nature sounds were also great. I appreciated the shade in our camp site. The outhouse was clean and nice to use, though I do wish it was a little closer. Was glad that there weren't many mosquitoes, though the gnats were annoying. Also, a note to future campers that fire rings don't have grills, so we had to bring our own. A few things that I wish were different - (1) a sign! Definitely needed to tell you where to turn off the road. We drove back and forth like 5 times with our screaming toddler in the backseat - was not ideal. (2) the water situation - it was a little hard to figure out where to fill up our water container, (3) firewood on site. My spouse went to a nearby store to get the number for Kyle, who was able to tell us where to pick up wood from his property. I wish the hosts had just had Kyle's number ready, so we wouldn't have had to make the two stops! and (4) I would have loved if the hosts had had some recs for local nature sites on the booking

Great Quiet Spot
My partner and I loved tent camping on Ashley’s land. It was a particularly hot one, but we found plenty of relief by dipping our feet in the cold creek nearby and keeping to the shade provided by the many trees. The only downside we found was that it was very difficult to find where we are supposed to go since there are no Hipcamp signs posted or even a driveway to drive in on (we eventually found out that we were supposed to drive on the side of the owner’s lawn after seeing vehicle tracks). Overall, great private spot and we’d definitely recommend it.
