We just got this place gifted to our small family and are very gracious for it. We don't have much but we're working hard to be self sustainable. Learn more about this land: This is basically a wide open sagebrush grass pasture land my family is homesteading. We've got very basic accommodations. Camping is anywhere you want as long as you leave no trace (ish). Rocky Ford creek fishing less than a mile away. The George Amphitheatre less than 45 min away. (Designated driver to and from concerts can be prearranged for an additional charge) . Plus countless lakes around us full of fish, swimming, and fun. We do have an electric fence on property. It really hurts. Don't touch it.This is basically a wide open sagebrush grass pasture land my family is homesteading. We've got very basic accommodations. Camp Soap Lake George Amphitheatre
Great campsite
The spot was hard to find based on the Google map location. So make sure you get clear directions from the host and follow them. It's a long Rocky driveway, better to get into it with an SUV type car so you don't have to worry so much about the big rocks hitting the bottom of the car. My friend and I booked it to camp at for two nights and it worked out great. Very secluded and peaceful, the dogs are really friendly and sweet. We went on a big gorge festival weekend (Joni Mitchell/Brandi Carlile) and I was surprised nobody else found this spot, it was just us. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Location is about a 35 minute or so drive from the Gorge. Many gorgeous hikes and lakes nearby.

Camp Soap Lake George Amphitheatre
sage brush field full of dog poop
The driveway is safely accessible only with a truck unless you want to risk damaging the underside of your car. There is one site once you pull in to the end of the driveway that is a big and decent but other than that site, it is a thick sage brush field full of dog poop. I had to lay down the fence wire and navigate my SUV in between the sage brush hitting bottom and rocks just to gain maybe 20 yards from the road to their home for little privacy. Their dogs are off leash in the field and there is poop literally everywhere not to mention a dog visiting our tent in the middle of the night and keeping me awake. Not walkable or bikable to any lakes or the rocky ford creek. The owners were nice and invited us to their bbq but they really shouldn't advertise that the whole property is accessible unless someone wants to haul their tent and everything out a quarter mile on foot. Water and honeybucket were accessible but right in front of their house so No privacy there either. Lots of nasty bites from gnats.. beautiful sunset and star gazing though. The owners should just rent out the big site or do some work to clear out some sage brush and poop if they are to host mor campers.

Camp Soap Lake George Amphitheatre
Enjoyed our stay at Marcus’ place. Very chill with lots of space to camp. Conveniently located near Soap Lake so easy to pop out for all the things you forgot. A great base camp to explore Soap Lake, Sun Lakes-Dry Falls and more.

Camp Soap Lake George Amphitheatre
The site was really pretty and the hosts were extremely nice and friendly. We were greeted with the owners dog, who was super cute. If you’re thinking of staying here consider renting a truck or SUV, there are some big rocks in the drive way that can make it difficult for regular cars.

Sagebrush paradise
The Ranch was everything we expected and more. Marcus and his family were very friendly, they even pointed us in the direction of some local hikes. They had a couple of very friendly dogs and a goat who seemed to think she was a dog as well. We will definitely be returning in the future and would highly recommend staying on this beautiful property.
