Hello there! Thank you for stopping by. We are a small Vermont farm offering farmed and handmade goods. We raise Shetland sheep for wool and dairy; make handcrafted goods, including wood goods, fiber products, pottery and more! Our farm is in beautiful and rural Whitingham, Vermont. While you get all of the privacy, quiet, and bucolic setting of being in the country, we're not too far from lots of things to do! In the warmer months there are tons of hiking trails, swimming holes, a recreational reservoir very closeby for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, boating, etc., biking of all kinds, and any other outdoor activities you might enjoy! In the winter, we are within 1 hour in of 4 ski resorts (Mount Snow, Stratton, Berkshire East, and Magic Mountain), as well as countless trails for snowshoeing, cross country, or back country skiing. The town of Wilmington is a quick 20 minute drive, where there is a quaint downtown with several restaurants and shops, as well as the essentials like grocery stores and a pharmacy. Another 10 minutes and you can be in Dover, where there are even more restaurants, shops, and even a movie theater. There are tons of fun day trips to be planned in the surrounding areas, both in Vermont and western Massachusetts-- we are less than a mile from the MA border! Ask us for other recommendations, we'd be happy to point you in the right direction!

Friendly People and Animals
We loved our experience! We arrived at night and initially passed the place, but it was an easy turnaround to get back. Pat met us by the sight and helped us find a mostly level place to park our 24ft. Class C RV and get us set up with power and firewood. The kids absolutely loved waking up to watch Christine milk the cows. She so graciously let us tag along for the morning feed, and even get involved! We can’t thank you both enough for making this a memorable experience. We hope to come back and see Flower the sheep and all the other farm animals again one day!

Beautiful place enhanced by the sounds of a babbling brook, and farm life. The sheep were especially entertaining. Christine was a gracious host. I would definitely stay again!

Rested easy at Fern River Farm
We could only stay for one night at Fern River Farm, but had a really peaceful, perfect night. The little creek by the campsite provides the background with a few baa’s from the local sheep! Plentiful firewood and a tucked away private camp spot, but super easy access for truck campers and larger rigs. Friendly and helpful host! Will definitely stay here again when we’re in the area.
