Open to long term . Come crash in our yard and ski for the weekend! Just on the outskirts of Park City, we want to share our property with you. There is a fabulous view of the ski resorts and the Utah Olympic Park from our neighborhood. A couple miles off the freeway, so no road noise but easy access. 5 miles to Kimball Junction and 10 miles to Main Street or Park City Mountain. We sit on 2 1/2 acres in our neighborhood. This is a great place to stay if you want to explore the Park City area. Close to Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley if you want to come in for a ski weekend or an extended stay. Please inquire about available access during the winter. Great access to mountain bike trails right from the property. Glenwild Loop, Cobblestone and Flying Dog are accessible from the neighborhood. The Rail Trail is also accessible from the neighborhood and can take you to Old Town. A great eBike option. Visit mountaintrails.org for the many bike trails in the area. A great little hike up to ponds is a short distance away, also. Pet friendly but must be good around other animals. Our house is on the property and we have 2 large friendly dogs and cats. There are also deer and elk that cruise through our property and neighbors riding their horses down the street. Inquire about water and electric. We do not have sewer, but have a contact for a company that will come pump if you don't want to move, or, there is an RV park about 5 miles down the road that will pump for a small fee. Need another vehicle while you're here? Rent our Ford Expedition https://turo.com/us/en/suv-rental/united-states/park-city-ut/ford/expedition/1562001 These also may be for rent: Mastercraft surf boat, Ebikes, Mountain bikes, bike rack, paddleboards, coolers and more! The best camping near Utah Lake State Park guide

Overview

About

If you’ve spent any amount of time in the West, you probably know that finding a good lake isn’t quite as easy as it is in other parts of the country. Utah Lake State Park is here to soothe your woes, though, because its boundaries are home to one of the largest freshwater lakes in the region (and the area only receives an average of 15 inches of rainfall per year—isn’t nature amazing?!). Early settlers were amazed by this place, too. In fall of 1776, one member of the Dominguez-Escalante party arrived here and exclaimed, "This place is the most pleasant, beautiful, and fertile in all New Spain." Preach on, Bernardo Y. Pacheco! So, come on out and see what all the fuss is about. Bring some friends, too, because you’ll want to share this special place with your outdoor-loving crew. Spend your days playing on the water, and your nights relaxing at one of the many camping areas. Life doesn’t get much better.

When to go

The best time to visit Utah Lake State Park is during the warm summer months when the lake's waters invite for swimming and boating. Spring and fall offer cooler temperatures ideal for fishing and picnics. Winters can be cold, with limited access to some park facilities.

Know before you go

  • Check the park's Facebook page or website for the latest updates on construction and accessibility.
  • Be aware of the park's safety regulations, especially when participating in water activities.
  • Remember to pack sunscreen and water, as the area can be sunny and dry.
  • For fishing enthusiasts, a valid Utah fishing license is required to fish within park boundaries.
