Set on the Colorado River, Moab has long been a popular spot for lovers of the great outdoors, attracting hikers, mountain bikers, and ATVers with its ample trails, rock formations, and camping opportunities, particularly—but not exclusively—during the hot summer months. Major attractions include Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park as well as the McInnis Canyon National Conservation Area and Natural Bridges National Monument. While plenty of hotels and vacation rentals are available in Moab, those wanting a more rustic, natural experience may be better off renting a cabin, either in or around Moab or just east of town, in western Colorado. Cabin options range from simple A-frame sheds to cottages and tiny houses, as well as more traditional rustic log cabins, some large enough to sleep entire families with full kitchens, free wifi, and hot tubs.
