Color Country is so named for its gorgeous location beneath the Velvet Ridge, surrounded by the Sleeping Rainbow on it's East and Boulder Mountain to the South. With the meandering Fremont River running along our property, we offer a mix of desert vegetation, iconic red dirt, and unparalleled views.
We are opening our shelter facility's 15 acres exclusively to campers to observe the Annular Eclipse taking place October 14th 9am-noon. Color Country Animal Welfare is hosting a viewing event that will also serve as a fundraiser, so your dollars don't just earn you an incredible campsite, but also go directly to the animals we serve in Wayne County.
Depending on your needs, you can book a campsite as a basecamp for your activities, or a Campsite Package to help us celebrate this event while tangibly supporting rescue animals!
The Campsite Package of $100/site includes access to a toilet and clean water, a Dutch Oven meal, coffee and refreshments during the event, viewing glasses, access to a telescope, discussion from a local guide, a Live feed of the event from Nasa.gov, and more. If you would rather just book the site, send us a message.
We'll see you and the Eclipse in October!
