RVers can lounge on beaches or float down paddling trails on a camping trip near Port Aransas.
Known for its sandy beaches and fishing opportunities, Port Aransas offers RVers a little taste of a tropical island resort along the Gulf of Mexico coast. Before taking a boat tour, campers can park their trailers at one of several RV resorts in the area. Many offer 50-amp hookups, free wifi, and on-site laundry facilities. From there, travel a few minutes south to Mustang Island State Park, which encompasses nearly 4,000 acres (including five miles of beach). Stay in one of 48 campsites outfitted with water and electric hookups, flush toilets, and showers—all just 400 yards from the water. Hiking, biking, birding, fishing, and over 20 miles of paddling trails are popular activities in the park year-round. After exploring the water and sand dunes, journey across the bay to Corpus Christi to visit historical sites and tour the USS Lexington. Hipcampers can keep their campervans at one of several RV parks near the city, including oceanfront resorts with full hookups, swimming pools, and beach access.
