El Cosmico takes its inspiration from a long American history of hippies, nomads, bohemians and those living a life of self-determination. We believe in tuning in, dropping out and being here now. Vehicles are not allowed onto the grounds, so if you are staying in your car or RV you will post up in our large parking lot with easy access to the grounds. Tent camping is dispersed, so you pick your space within the designated camping areas that are indicated on the property map provided at the front desk. Front desk hours are from 7:30am-11:00pm daily. If you are arriving after 11pm please call ahead for late check-in instructions.We provide the earth, you provide the shelter. BYO-Tent. Camping in your own tent or vehicle is $30 per night, per tent or vehicle for reservations checking in Sunday through Thursday and $50 per night for reservations checking in on Friday or Saturday nights (kids under 13 camp for free), and includes access to our communal spaces and bathhouses. Vehicles are not allowed onto the grounds, so if you are staying in your car or RV you will post up in our large parking lot with easy access to the grounds. Tent camping is dispersed, so you pick your space within the designated camping areas that are indicated on the property map. Maps are available at the front door of our main building. No need to check-in with the front desk, just grab a map and set-up.

Self Camping at El Cosmico

For camping in a van or RV it's a little annoying in that you just camp in the parking lot. But, it does have great amenties and if it's nice outside and can pitch a tent it would be nicer surroundings.

Loved Marfa and loved El Cosmico! Very unique place. I stayed in my skoolie, so I was just in the parking lot but enjoyed walking around the grounds with my dog, coffee in the mornings and use of the bathroom/shower. Perfect location just about half a mile from everything cool in Marfa!

Super cute spot with great amenities & friendly staff. Our stay was super short, just overnight on a road trip, but I’ve already saved it for a return trip & longer stay.

Car camping

I enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back. I car camped in the big parking lot and it worked well for me. You have road noise some, but otherwise very quiet. Easy walk to the downtown area. Coffee was served in the morning at the main office and it was amazing!
