UPDATE: We had an aborist out to take down invasive trees and will be several months in cleaning up downed trees and limbs in a way that returns the fertility to the soil. At the same time, I am often away caring for a family member on hospice. Expect limbs, leaves, wood chips and tree clutter scattered around on the property. The campsite is not effected. We discovered this small homestead 16 years ago. It was built by a man preparing to go off grid, but he never did. In the intervening time, we became enthralled with growing vegetables, raising poultry and hiking the hills behind us. Then Nicole discovered permaculture and began the process of changing the land using these practices. With our three dogs, cats, goats, ducks and chickens, things can be pretty merry around her. There are aquaponics and hydroponics to check out for fun. Plus, Nicole is one of the region's only craft coffee roasters, so you are in for a treat if you come visit and like coffee because she tends to hand visitors sample packs. Learn more about this land: Hang your hammock or pitch your tent in the back acres of a small homestead integrating permaculture practices. Hang out in our land for your whole visit checking out the holler we live in, dunk in the creek by the road, or drive over the hill to Center Hill Marine, or across the dam to Edgar Evins State park. or canoe the Caney Fork River! Sorry - No dogs please. Kayaking and fishing is also so close you can almost hear it - but you can't. Which is good.  Our property has a composting outhouse and the outdoor shower attached to the house has hot and cold water. We also have a nice, outdoor kitchen area to share that has a big sink and blackstone griddle. There is Wifi in the kitchen area and a plug for recharging devices. The camp site is a two-minute walk from the driveway and outhouse so be prepared to carry items in and take your morning constitutional walk.  We sometimes have available for sale eggs, freshly roasted coffee, jams and jellies. This is a functioning homestead, so we may be hosting an open house event, processing chickens, or some other fun digging activity during your stay.Hang your hammock or pitch your tent in the back acres of a small homestead integrating permaculture practices. Holler Homestead Woodsy Retreat
This was a very private site in a secluded, wooded setting nestled in the Tennessee hills. Nicole is an exceptional host who took many steps to ensure our stay was perfect. We would definitely camp here again.

Camping on homestead/ close to EESP
Nicole is a welcoming host. She introduced us to all the animals and told us about her homestead. It's really quite lovely. The campsite was had tree coverage/ was flat. Chris built us a nice fire in the evening. The fire pit is awesome 👌. We drank coffee and chatted with the two of them in the morning. I enjoyed our stay at Nicole's homestead. 14 min drive to Edgar Evins State Park. Which had hiking and a water access at ramp 2.

Holler Homestead Woodsy Retreat
Holler homestead was a perfect place to camp! Nicole showed us around and answered questions about the homestead. We all ended our stay with new knowledge which is much better than generic campsites. The campsite itself was great. The hike in is beautiful with several options on where you want to pitch your tent. The main campfire area is next to some really cool goats. The other amenities are cool: outhouse, shower, kitchen, and I’m sure more we didn’t use. I already hesitate telling people about this place since I want to go back and want the weekends available. You’ll have a great time at the Holler!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The property was beautiful and the campsite very quiet and peaceful, but not too far from the road and car. Sweet animals too
