Not great, but adequate
The camp was quite aways from attractions, stores, etc, and involves a not well groomed gravel road. Additionally, the owners had 3 dogs who had the run of the place. One of them was fine, but two of them were aggressive, with one being so hostile that we had to keep our dog inside the rv for her own protection. And there was dog poop everywhere.
The owner was nice, but busy with multiple obligations and we only saw him for about 10 minutes total. The family gifted us with fresh eggs, which was very nice, and it was definitely quiet, but we are used to other hipcamps where there was more interaction with the hosts. We were there 5 days and had a lot of questions to figure out on our own.

Nice and secluded, bad road
Very quiet and secluded. There was no one else in the adjoining campsites but they were far enough apart for privacy even if there would have been. Site was a little tight backing up and definitely a slight uphill grade. We put it in four-wheel drive since we started to spin on the rocks backing in. Power pedestal is on the wrong side but we had just enough length to plug in. Unfortunately,
then we couldn't open the awning because of a tree branch. There appears to be three dogs that have the run of the place. The largest growled at me when I went outside and pooped in our campsite, twice. I am surprised that other reviews don't emphasize the narrow, deep and uneven road in. It's maybe a quarter mile of thick gravel but then it narrows down to barely one lane wide and very uneven. Not sure how you handle it if you meet another vehicle. We had just had our shackles repaired and I didn't want to continue but there was no way to turn around. All in all, it's a great spot. Getting there is another story. Site number one would be a great choice. It's much flatter and has sewer and a water tank close. I can't say I'd recommend taking a big camper in and definitely not with two wheel drive. That said, if you're looking for some real outback camping in a pine forest, and you have the right equipment, this might be your place.

It was a beautiful spot and it was really quiet. The hosts were so nice and gave us some fresh eggs to take with us! Their sweet dog Faye paid us a visit on our last night and our dogs absolutely loved the area.

Refuge
Very quiet (no bird song, occasional rooster crowing) all tall pine campsite. No water, no trash/dumpster, very spotty T-mobile reception. My site had electricity. Never met the host(s) in 4 day visit. Be aware that 0.2 miles from site is a VERY intimidating gulch--my Toyota van made it without difficulty going 20 mph. I initially freaked after an all day, very hot, and would not have attempted it without Sam (host) assuring me a neighbor did it every day.
