Finca Remedio is a 40 acre Eco Farm and community space in the mountains of Utuado. Come bask in a pristine tropical forest, breathing pure air, bathing in spring water, listening to the evening orchestra of wildlife and gentle waterfalls. Our farm is an off-grid outdoor living experience and the perfect environment for relaxation, connection, and healing. We provide the basics for you to be comfortable as you immerse yourself in nature. You can check out our project on FB and IG @FincaremedioYou will be sleeping on a deck above a creek, surrounded by trees. The space is open, simple and clean. There is a queen bed, mosquito net, bedside tables, solar string lights, hammock, table and chairs, yoga mats, cooler, sink, outdooor hot shower with pure spring water and a compost toilet (closed system using sawdust instead of water). There is no electricity on this deck only solar lighting, phone charger and a headlamp The sleeping area is very private, you wont hear any cars or see lights. A 4 minute walk from this deck is the kitchen deck. This deck has all the essentials for cooking, 2 burner stove, mini fridge, sink, storage space, cooking utensils, Berkey water filter (please don't bring water bottles we have excellent water here), dining area, sofa, compost toilet. This deck has solar power for phone charging, music, wifi, yoga mats, instruments. This deck is above our home so it is less private, though we do not use it to cook. Ocassionally we may have visitors also using this deck also, we will try to let you know first. Our adobe home is below with the garden, we can give mini tours of our SuperAdobe earth home. We also sell organic fruits, veggies, eggs, hot sauce, natural remedies and beauty products. We prepare farm to table meals with advance notice for $15 per person per meal. We also offer beginners yoga and latin percussion classes for $15. This is a food forest and you will be surrounded by fruit trees. We have a mile of hiking paths if you enjoy hiking around the farm. We also have two creeks and a river. On the walk between the kitchen and the sleeping deck you have to cross the creek so wear shoes that can get wet or jump. We have an amazing, crystaline river on the bottom of the farm with 2 epic swimming holes and waterfalls. River access is a challenging 10 minute hike down a steep slope with about 300 steps cut out from the earth with ropes for support. It is only for agile hikers, in sunny weather and at your own risk. The creek is a 1 minute hike from our home and has little pools with waterfalls for bathing. We can provide a river tour or permaculture farm tour for $30 to those who would like guidance or a learning experience. We are 420 and plant medicine friendly, this is a healing space. Our farm is off grid and off road, you will park outside the farm, from there it is a 4 minute walk to the kitchen and 4 minutes more to the sleeping deck. It is essential that you are comfortable walking and living outside on uneven terrain. Finca Remedio is a functioning farm, you will see projects in process and things that need to be done, do not expect luxury. Glamping is a way to financially support our farm. We appreciate you! We have 4 dogs, 2 cats and chickens. We will meet you outside the farm to introduce you to our dogs and transport your things. Our dogs are very loving and safe, but they are guard dogs and do bark. If you are afraid of dogs this is not the space for you. Dog lovers only! Our dogs do not like new dogs, no pets allowed. This is an ideal stay for those wishing to connect with nature, relax, restore, hike, swim, read, meditate, practice yoga, music, birdwatch, eat organic local food, and experience life on a real homestead. A minute walk from the glamp there is a big tent with a plastic pallet floor and carport and one full and one twin mattress and two cots where max 5 people can sleep. We provide sleeping bags and pillows. There are also other flat areas where people can set up tents. Everyone can use the communal kitchen, shower and compost toilets. An amazing experience, where guests are able to be one with nature and truly unplug. Excellent amenities for a glamping site. The massage and fresh egg offerings were special touches.

Absolutely wonderful Rainforest adventure at Finca Remedio! Alexa, Naldo, the pups and kitties were fantastic hosts! Great communication, happy to answer any questions and kindly share their knowledge of their beautiful sanctuary. The hike to the River for a swim may be a little steep, however, definitely worth going to ... it is truly Paradise!!! Sleeping in the heart of the Rainforest was an incredible experience , one we will never forget! Highly recommend Finca Remedio! 💖💖💖

Secluded Rainforest Glamp

First off Naldo and Alexa are the sweetest and most down to earth people. Naldo greeted us so warmly and showed us around and how to get to our spot. Their pack of fur babies also gave us a warm welcome! We did walk a short bit to where we would sleep but it wasn’t bad besides the first night that it rained a lot. it was muddy, so pack light and wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. If you’re adventurous and outdoorsy, this is a great place for you. It’s cute and private. Everything accessible to guests is outdoors. It IS glamping but you ARE outside. They messaged me up front to tell me about the type of property it is, which was nice! So we knew what to expect. With that, you will see and hear A LOT at night since it is a forest. But we did sleep fine. When I’d wake up, I would find my wife soaking in the mornings on the hammock. Be careful going to the bathroom at night because it’s pretty dark but they provide have a headlamp. The shower outside was very refreshing. We were greeted by Alexa when we were checking out and she was the sweetest! I pointed out their parcha growing on the kitchen deck and she cut one open for me to try! By the sounds of it, they are very community oriented people. They’re both very warm and welcoming and amazing hosts. I would book again!

Secluded Rainforest Glamp

One night was not enough to enjoy the peace and nature Alexa's hipcamp provided! My only regret was not staying longer. The hosts are great and very communicative. The land is so beautiful and this glamp may be my favorite one yet! I love a good outdoor shower and a privy with a view. Spent a lot of time in hammocks listening to everything or stretching on yoga mats with views of the valley. I also took a dip in the natural creek on a hot day. If you like the outdoors and want a nice getaway and way to reconnect with nature and yourself, this place is definitely it.
