Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Located 'at the edge of civilization', Motts Mapleton Farm is a working farm with a variety of 4H animals and livestock. Throughout the year there can be any combination of cows, pigs, lambs and chickens. Approximately 40 acres of the land is in crop rotation, including mostly wheat and hay. There are various flat site locations for camping available, including near a creek, bordering a cemetery, and tucked under 30 year old conifers.Various sites around the farm available for camping! We are just 25 minutes from Canton, OH but a world away from civilization. Gently rolling hills allow for beautiful views of sunrise and sunset. Once the sun sets, you will be serenaded by coyotes and wildlife. If you look up, the sky will open above you for an unparalleled look at the night sky. If you don't want the roosters to wake you, kindly pick a spot farther from the big house, lol.

Mapleton Farm Camping
Big sky
Wide open field with a creek at the edge. Do bring bug spray. But great sky and very little noise from a distant county road. Heard turkeys and a few frogs and such. They had some firewood but it wasn’t seasoned. Bring your own and a fire ring.

Mapleton Farm Camping
Hard to believe it is only 15 minutes from downtown yet so peaceful and natural. We camped right on the creek that borders her property. Sarah was a great host! She thoughtfully shared firewood and fresh eggs and offered a share of her vegetable/fruit garden. Beautiful night skies for star gazing - no light pollution. And a great serenade from the local frogs.
