Enjoy an elevated camping experience on a private creek near Max Patch, a popular hiking destination with 360 degree views adjacent to the Appalachian Trail. Surround yourself in nature, escape reality and relax with the sounds of babbling creeks and birds chirping. The property is at 3,600 ft elevation and is typically 10 degrees cooler than Asheville and Waynesville, so bring a sweater! The camping area is across the road from the host house, down 10 stone steps. Renters have exclusive, private access to this area, as well as a half bath and refrigerator in the first floor barn area of the host house.16 x 10 camping platform overlooking a babbling creek. Renters have exclusive access to the creek areas as well as a half-bath and refrigerator on the ground floor of the host house. Immerse yourself in nature, but with the comforts of home. This campsite is perfect for hikers, stargazers, bird watchers and nature lovers. There is almost no light pollution so the stars are amazing. I have a few hummingbird feeders so they are whizzing around the house and yard during the summer months. I've planted tons of flowers, attracting more birds, butterflies and bees who are flying around all day. It really is a little slice of heaven up here :) 7 miles/25 minute drive to Max Patch Trail Head and the Appalachian Trail, 35 mins from Downtown Waynesville and Canton, 1 hour from Asheville. There are 2 private roads on either side of the campsite. Please do not drive up either of the roads. There are 2 active honey bee hives on the property, so those with an allergy should be aware. I have 2 friendly dogs that roam the property. Please let me know if you plan to bring any pets or if you aren't a fan of dogs.

Jess was super helpful with anything that came up and has a great site! We hiked Lemon Gap to Max Patch nearby and loved a quiet fall weekend in the mountains

Creekside Camping Max Patch
This campsite was very awesome! Plenty of space for a small group, parking for multiple vehicles and a secluded feel. Jess is a great host, she anticipated our arrival, set aside wood for us each day, and gave us recommendations for local hiking and fishing. Her dogs hung out with us on the site many times which was fun too! You will have a great trip here!

Jess was the most accommodative host we’ve ever met. Her property is stunning and you could tell she does a lot to maintain it! Bathroom is kept clean. Instructions were super clear. Clyde and Tigress are the sweetest pups. Super convenient drive to max patch. Make sure to use google maps getting there. Apple Maps made us pass her property which surprised us both. Thank you so much for an awesome birthday getaway!

SO DARN CUTE!
Amaaaaazzinngggg! Jess was super cool and welcoming, her dogs Clyde and tigress were the sweetest! The camp site was adorable, would definitely recommend.
