Our off-grid yurt is set on our 40-acre wooded property, which itself contains a few miles of maintained trails. Next to the yurt is an outhouse with a composting toilet. Popular hiking and mountain-biking trails in Shindagin Hollow State Forrest are accessible just a short walk down our dirt road (0.25 mi.). Brooktondale is just outside of Ithaca, NY. We are minutes from Cornell University campus, the downtown commons, Cayuga Lake, and Fingerlakes wineries. The yurt is a roundhouse with a 20 foot diameter. There are two cots available, with a small kitchen-like area. There are battery lights and zip-open windows.

Yurt With Outhouse
The perfect little get away from a long day of hiking with the dogs. Very private and dog friendly. This was my second time staying here and it will not be the last.

Yurt With Outhouse
We loved staying in the yurt! Very private in a wooded area. We didn’t need to bring wood since there were plenty of branches off the trees to use for a fire. We had rainy weather for our stay and we stayed dry and cozy. This was my first experience with a compost toilet but it was very clean and no bad odors. It was good space for our 2 dogs. Off the beaten path location but still only 15 min to town. Rebecca was very responsive to our questions. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful night under the stars
Had a wonderful stay for our last weekend get away before school starts this week. The Yurt was absolutely beautiful and clean as well as the outhouse. It has everything you need for a night of glamping. Wish we could of stayed longer and would definitely stay again. I definitely recommend. We now are interested in looking into a Yurt of our own. Thanks for the lovely stay ✨
