Stargate Farms is an organic homestead that became overgrown with vines the past decade and we are actively restoring the ecology and landscape through regenerative farming practices now that we are the new stewards of this land.
We have 11 acres to explore with wildlife, trails, a spring fed swimming hole, and many other exciting updates coming winter 23/24 that will include access to infrared sauna, cold plunge and steam room. In the warmer months we wildcraft medicinal/culinary mushrooms, herbs, food crops and have a small orchard which we are expanding so that we may have more than apples, pears and wild cherries to share.
Catch the perfect sunrise and sunset on this unique southwest-facing slice of heaven in the Hudson Valley and learn a few new skills to bring home with you by helping out with projects we have going on or just sit back and relax to your heart’s content.
Our 2021 42ft RV with 5 slide outs for maximum interior space, is perfect for up to 6 people (1 king, 2 queen beds). Looking to experience the ultimate glamping-meets-small farm experience? We are located just 2 hours north of NYC and 40 min from Albany International Airport. There is an Amtrak station 15 min from the farm in Hudson that we occasionally offer rides to and fro, if our schedule allows and must be planned at least a week in advance.
We are just a couple minutes down the road from Lake Taghkanic State Park where there are over 1500 acres of trails, a 157 acre lake with a beach, boat launch and boat rentals as well as the famous West Taghkanic Diner. 12 minutes to the heart of Hudson, NY and the many incredible restaurants, artisans, antique warehouse and general beauty. 25 minutes to The Berkshires and Catamount Mountain for winter guests who enjoy skiing and snowboarding. 25 minutes to Woodstock. 4 minutes to a 24-7 high end convenience store with groceries, gas and diesel as well as large super market across the intersection. Many farm stands along our main road to check out. The year-round activities here are truly endless, feel free to ask about anything in particular because it probably exists and we can more than probably help you figure out how to make it happen.A welcome basket as well as breakfast/ kitchen staples provided with fully stocked kitchen essentials (coffee maker, pots, pans, utensils, seasonings etc) upon arrival. Linnens, towels, robes and slippers provided as well. We hope to have a hot tub installed this winter but waiting on permits.
Happy to answer any other logistical questions and to plan special events like sound baths, reiki and farm-to-table group meals for additional cost with advanced notice.
We recommend that winter guests have a 4WD vehicle to get up the hill in the case of a snow storm during your stay before plowing gets completed, as the long but paved driveway goes up a hill to get to your private RV driveway which is a mix of clay and gravel.
