Jeans land was the perfect respite, I really appreciated all the amenities I wasn't expecting. Kayaks and a cooking stove! The new outhouse that Jean has constructed is fabulous.

She was very nice and accommodating. It was very clean and she provided pretty much everything you could need, and the outhouse was so so clean! Didn't smell at all. Plus she has a super cute dog.
The cabin is closer to the main house and neighbors than I thought it would be but I found that we had enough privacy, so it wasn't a problem.
Overall a really great experience, would definitely come back.

Jean was friendly and inviting. The one room camp was clean and quiet. I never slept better. The evening loons were very calming.

Jeans space was a dream!
It was literally everything we were looking for and more.
If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is it.
The lake was beautiful and clean.
The water was warm, the kayaks available to use allowed us to explore the lake and catch a beautiful sunset.
With a cute little cottage fitted with a bed, electric, coffee maker and fridge we had more amenities than we needed.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Jean was a total sweetheart, I felt like I was visiting a family member.
We felt incredibly comfortable and would definitely come back.

An excellent and peaceful place to unwind near the water! The host, Jean and her dog Zoey, meet us upon arrival and showed us to our cabin and around her property. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. An electric coffee maker, mini fridge, and a propane camp stove were provided. The lake was great for swimming and kayaking. Jean's property is situated in a narrow part of the lake and there is little boat traffic. Making it a great spot to swim, float and paddle. Hoping in the kayaks and paddling out to watch the sunset over the lake was a real treat. Her fire pit and picnic area were the perfect place to spend the rest of the evening.
Wed recommend taking the quick ride to Potsdam's Saturday public market for local produce and meats. Let Jean's local knowledge guide you to nearby restaurants and entertainment. Nearby Colton has places to stop and grab ice and provisions one may have forgotten.
Jean's cottage is an excellent quiet getaway from city living. An excellent Basecamp for exploring deeper into the Adirondacks or true hideaway on its own. As seasoned campers, my partner and I kept saying "What more could you need?!" Hassle free lodging while being close to the wilderness.
We truly appreciated the space and Jean's hospitality. Could not be happier with our stay and would certainly stay here again!
