A glamper's delight! Welcome to our romantic, primitive, off-grid A-Frame, where breathtaking views and stargazing await. On a quirky homestead with stunning views in every direction, fall asleep under the vast night sky while coyotes yip and howl. Ojo Caliente, Taos, Rio Grande Gorge, Carson National Forest and world-class hiking only minutes away. Enjoy the tranquility and seclusion without sacrificing the proximity to the conveniences of Taos. Brilliant sunrises and fiery sunsets are the backdrop, but the stargazing is what takes center stage. With strategically placed windows, guests can lay in bed and connect with the cosmos, witnessing the milky way and shooting stars most nights. Please note, bedding is only provided as an add-on. There is no plumbing or electricity. Solar shower and simple composting toilet provided. Guests Can Expect: One parking spot (only one vehicle, please) New mattress (bedding provided at an additional cost) No Electricity/Plumbing/WiFi Outdoor bathroom: Solar camping shower Sawdust composting toilet Amazing views!Welcome to our romantic and primitive A-Frame, where breathtaking views and stargazing await. Witness the majestic Sangre de Cristo mountains painting the horizon. Brilliant sunrises and fiery sunsets are the backdrop for views that will leave you breathless. But the stargazing is what takes center stage. With strategically placed windows, guests can lay in bed and connect with the cosmos, witnessing the milky way and shooting stars most nights. In the high desert the temperatures can very greatly. Bring layers to transition from day to night, and extra clothing for cooler temps while sleeping. Parking is in the driveway of our house with a walk from the parking spot to the A-frame through a big desert meadow. Headlamps/flashlights are suggested for night treks to the outdoor bathroom. A solar shower is provided beside a composting toilet (instructions provided at check-in). There is a hydrant for potable water. Guests can use the Coleman camp-stove, if desired (when not banned). No fires permitted, as this is our greatest danger to the Carson National Forest. A kind reminder that no power source is available. Ask about connecting to a power source for charging, if needed. (No generators, please, we value the quiet.) Pets are welcome, but must be supervised and cleaned up after. Be mindful that rattlesnakes and coyotes are native to the area. Keep them away from the nearby roadway. Nextdoor guests can enjoy the cute Carson Cafe and Grocery where you can find hot meals, karaoke, and grocery items.

Perfect Overnight Near Taos
Fantastic little cabin, perfect for stargazing. Very easy walk down to the cabin from the parking area, and easy access to the bathroom and water. The host was helpful, informative, and responsive. I can't wait to book another stay here!

With pets
We had a great time staying at the A-frame! It was very cute and the bed was really comfortable. We slept super well every night. I’m not sure if the host knew about this ahead of time, but there was road construction and a bright light shining each night so that sort of took away from the remote stargazing experience. One thing I wish I knew ahead of time was that the bathroom didn’t really have a door; which was a little uncomfortable. Overall, a good experience!

Loved this cute little spot
This was such a cute spot!!! We just needed a place to rest for the night so this was perfect. Comfortable bed and great view of the stars! It rained during the night so it was excellent sleeping weather! Taylor was super helpful in helping us find the A - frame as we arrived once it was dark. Would recommend arriving before dark as it would be super easy to find but taylor was fabulous and so attentive!
