The camper sits on 13 raw acres in the the Ortiz. We are completely off-grid, but have everything needed. Potable water is hauled in, solar electricity and composting toilet.
Unfortunately, we do not have WIFI for guests. This is a great quiet place to disconnect from the modern world. Although, if you do need to connect, Java Junction is less than 10 min away and they have great WIFI.The trailer sits on 13.3 acres on the slopes of the Ortiz Mountains, just off the historic Turquoise Trail, 30 mins SW of Santa Fe, NM. From the slopes of the Ortiz Mountains we look out onto the Santa Fe valley, and across to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. This is the land of the Tewa/Cochiti/San Felipe/Pueblos, where I humbly walk and call home. It is high desert with beautiful Juniper, Piñon, low brush, and cacti. It’s incredibly quiet, calm and peaceful. The views from anywhere are spectacular.
You will have your own private space, a fully equipped camper with comforts and solar electricity. A queen size bed with down bedding, hot water, temperature control, and stove. Most of the time the windows are open and I am kissed by the cool breeze. However, it does get quite hot and cold. For the winter months, the trailer has propane heat. The summers are hot and the trailer does not have AC, but it does have a great fan and keeping the windows open helps with a cool air circulation.
The toilet is a short walk to the modern outhouse. The shower in the trailer has hot water or the camping shower that hangs from the tree near the outhouse can be a cool respite on those hot day!
If you decide to walk the land I ask you are mindful of where you are walking and please try not to step on plants and stick to already created paths.
The road getting here is dirt and rugged, but it's not long. All cars will make it through the culvert area. If it's a heavy rain or snow 4WD is best, but otherwise any car is fine.
Park by the trailer, and you can walk the land. I can show you the parameters. You are welcome to walk the roads.
