If you’re seeking privacy, tranquility, and rejuvenation in the woods, you’ll find it at Camp Jack. Relax and enjoy your spacious private campsite in the scenic fields and apple orchards of our homestead, surrounded by hundreds of acres of private conservation woodland. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the delicate beauty of spring wildflowers blooming, take a meditative walk along mossy trails through the lush green shade of the summer woods, drink in the endless views of fiery autumn colors across rolling hills, or experience the magical fairyland of the Great North Woods in deep winter snow. Our homestead is located at the edge of the White Mountain National Forest, with its endless outdoor recreation options. It's a 10 minute drive to charming downtown Littleton with dining, breweries, shopping, seasonal farmers market, and Ammonoosuc River trail. 25 minute drive to Franconia Notch State Park, with access to Cannon Mountain skiing, Mirror Lake swimming, the Flume Gorge and Basin trails on the Pemi River, and 800,000+ acres of White Mountain National Forest hiking that includes Appalachian Trail access. 30 minute drive to the start of the Kancamagus Scenic Byway, which is gorgeous in any season and famous for fall colors. 50 minute drive to Mount Washington, highest peak in the White Mountains, with its famous auto road and cog railway to the summit (summit road open summer only). Whether you're a hiker, cyclist, fisher, hunter, leaf-peeper, snow sports enthusiast, or simply searching for peace, quiet, and natural beauty, the White Mountains offer something for everyone.

Apple orchard lookout at Camp Jack
ultimate free
Camp Jack was a beautiful spot, we had the whole field in the forest and the starry sky for ourselves. And nice that there was a shelter for the rain. No shower or toilet but the ultimate free camping!

Big sky meadow at Camp Jack
Me, my fiancé and 2 pups absolutely loved camping in the Big Sky meadow. Upon arrival, we checked in at the main house with Maudie- she was incredibly helpful, kind and personable. We filled up our jug with potable water from the house and she went over some ground rules of the property. She let us know this was the only camp site we couldn’t have a fire at due to the road to the site not being accessible for emergency vehicles, but let us know we could use the fire pit at the house if we wanted- we weren’t planning on making a fire but the offer was appreciated. Maudie told us about the private ledge lookout on the property which was a less than 5 min drive down the road. I HIGHLY recommend taking the time to go here. It’s a short and easy hike and provided one of our favorite views from this trip. The site itself was secluded, well maintained and absolutely perfect for our stay. We appreciated the privacy and room to roam for our pups as they can be curious of other people and not great at practicing personal space. There’s also some very nice walking trails that connect to the camping site. We really fell in love with this property and already looking forward to coming back with some friends. We wanted to leave the property in better condition than when we arrived but it was meticulous and nothing else was needed besides cleaning up after ourselves(and our pups).

SPECTACULAR SITE
This is the best site I have ever been too!! Might I even say this was better than the cabin Airbnb I stayed at last week?? Maudie is a fantastic host! There are supplies such as water, kindling, firewood etc! The walking paths are fantastic! What a perfect place to avoid the clogged trails. Everything is so well done and thought out! The handbook is great and I love the maps and directions! Very clear and thorough. The Ledges walk is fabulous! What a stunning view without tons of hiking effort. I love the meaning behind it all! Will definitely be booking again and recommending to everyone looking for a beautiful New England get away!

Truly a premier Hip Camp host.
We love camping remote since we live in a rural woodland area of Pennsylvania and enjoy a quiet life. Thank you for having and beautiful farm and allowing other folks to enjoy it as well. We enjoyed our stay very much, everything was better than expected. Thank you again.
