Between their communications and all the little extras that are provided, you can tell that the owners really care about you enjoying yourself: not only are they quick to respond through emails, but they willingly provide their phone number as a "just in case"; the fact that they provide firewood, a fire bucket, a table, and stock the portajohn should not be overlooked; as well as providing you a list of available eateries, are all things that you would be hard pressed to find at most other sites (they also provide use of their kayaks, but I won't talk about that as I didn't use... but it's still nice knowing they were there). For being within a vacation destination, the lake was surprisingly void of boaters, which only adds to the appeal of simply sitting on the rocks to watch the sun set behind the islands. The campsite itself was nice, with plenty of friendly chipmunks and red squirrels to keep you company; and if you camp here with little kids, there's enough ground for them to explore without worrying about them getting lost.

The best camping spot!! We loved the mulch on the campsite. No mudd for the dogs to get in to and it brightened up the campsite. Stayed 4 days not 1 bug bite. The paddle boards were also so much fun! Listening to the water while falling asleep at night was so relaxing. Wood and picnic table provided. 10/10 can’t wait to stay again!

What an amazing spot! So secluded but still close to all the adventures of the Keweenaw! The use of paddle boards was excellent, awesome fire pit! Super friendly hosts! Couldn’t recommend enough!

10/10 would return!
10/10 camping. Spot was clean, very private, and beautiful. The lake was gorgeous with clear water, sand beach, and access to kayak and paddle boarding. The sand beach was perfect for dogs to walk in and play. The trees were beautiful. The sunsets off the lake were amazing. The out house was clean and fresh. This is a great camping spot in the UP. We have no complaints and hope to return soon.

We really enjoyed how quiet the site was and had fun using the stand up paddle boards on the lake. We would definitely stay here again.

Lake Site
A peaceful site tucked into the woods on a peninsula. We enjoyed the beautiful lake and paddling out to the islands. Clean bathroom and private location. A great place to rustic camp while exploring the Keweenaw!
