Solitude, peacefulness, mountain views. Moose Trail Mountain Farm camp site feels remote and away from it all, but is less than 10 minutes from the quaint village of Cornish Maine. The site has views of the White Mountains, a babbling brook and hiking trails steps from the tent. The tent has a queen size bed with linens and towels for two provided. There is a covered outside kitchen with a propane stove, grill and all the essentials needed for cooking meals. An outside shower is solar heated and the outhouse has a view! 100% Yes! Amazing location!

Jane and Dan’s property is AMAZING. They’ve thought of every detail. You really only need your clothes and food. They have everything else covered. Walking into the tent you find a tidy bedroom, with nice bedding. There are plenty of lights and flashlights available. The bed was super comfortable, with lots of pillows and extra blankets. Towels were laid out and ready. A couple of chairs, a binder with local attractions, and a journal chronically other visits complete the clean cabin tent. As you exit the tent onto the porch the view takes your breathe away. Simply amazing. And during the weekend of October 18-20, the mountains were ablaze with color. The lean-to kitchen was set up perfectly for the glamping experience. Pots, pans, dishes, flatwear, knives, can opener, spices, dish soap, matches, lighters, towels were just a few things available in the cabinets. Fresh well water is provided as is ample fire wood for the inside wood stove and outside fire pit which is just a few feet away and a great place to enjoy making s’mores. The outhouse is just far enough away to provide privacy. It is remarkably clean and well decorated, with an incredible view of the tent, the valley and the White Mountains of NH. Our dog loved the off-leash freedom and we all enjoyed the trails which are only a few feet away and lead to some other scenic vistas, including the snow capped Mount Washington. Jane and Dan have set the bar high for other HipCamps! 🙂

Well Stocked Campsite

One of our favorite campsites! Second time staying here and this time we camped with my 4.5month old baby who had a great time too. Love the incredible hospitality of Jane and family. Everything we needed was provided, just had to pack ice! One of our favorite outhouse views too, lol. The bed is wicked comfy, the wood stove inside the tent worked perfectly, water was provided with a sink in the covered, well-stocked kitchen area; and hiking trails right from the site. The foliage in October was spectacular! Highly recommend.

Birthday getaway

The site was great and the outhouse is definitely a luxury while camping. The outdoor solar shower is great as well. It did rain for a day but the covered area to the side of the tent with the picnic table and sink is awesome to still be able to cook but covered from the weather. The views are great from the porch. We did light some fireworks one night for a birthday after I checked in the description to see if they were allowed and it said nothing of the sorts. Jane said they have horses and they get freaked out so I would refrain from those activities but it should be listed in the rules just in case for future campers. She was polite and understanding and we apologized for any disturbance. They refilled water when we asked and the site was great to stay at, would definitely recommend for a couple

Moose Trail Mountain Farm

Peaceful, but bring an SUV!

We enjoyed the campsite, outhouse was clean, and the amenities helped us be comfortable. The view was lovely and the area is very peaceful. HOWEVER, it should be noted that the drive up to the site is not really appropriate for a sedan, small hatch or a compact car. Our group would come back, but we would really need an SUV or truck next time. Both of our cars got stuck on the way up to the site, and the road leading to it is very rough, rocky and uneven for a standard car to drive over.
