Ms. Effie’s Flower Farm is a gated you pick flower farm located in beautiful rural countryside. Peace and tranquillity is what you will find when you are surrounded by amazing flowers and rolling farm fields. The cornzebo is a unique gathering spot with romantic lighting and comfortable seating. It’s a great place to watch the sun come up! The fire pit is also available for use.This is a you pick flower farm. If you are looking for quiet, you have found the right spot! Well ... there is rooster that may decide to provide an early morning wake up call. It is a farm, after all. This is the perfect campsite for women travelers. We love families but we enjoy of providing a safe haven for women. We have a cornzebo that you can sit and relax in the evening. A firepit is available for use depending on weather conditions. Flowers, fresh eggs, honey and jams are usually available for purchase. The serenity of this farm is totally free!

This place is fantastic! So peaceful! So many flowers!! Cathy was very friendly and accommodating. Had several relaxing spots to hang out around the property. Would definitely stay again.

A Stunning, Whimsical Paradise

This was my first hip-camp experience and I really don't think I will beat it. Cathy's farm was lovely. I had been so busy and had a super long drive, but stepped into this breathtaking, whimsical, magical paradise. Words really do fall short. It was so relaxing, from the beautiful views, birds chirping, little nooks and crannies everywhere to enjoy the flowers. Cathy went above and beyond. She had a back up place for me to go in case of a storm. I had the best time chatting with her. She is wonderful, the farm is wonderful. It is completely safe for solo female travelers. I will definitely be back!

I loved camping on Cathy’s flower farm! The bathroom was clean and it was a beautiful view to wake up to. Cathy herself is the sweetest person and offers free coffee. If I ever am passing through Iowa, I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location and excellent host! Cathy’s land was accessible, private, quiet, and very pretty. Cathy is so lovely and friendly, it was the perfect spot to stop after a long day of driving. I highly recommend!

I loved camping at Cathy’s flower farm. The garden is beautiful. This was my second time camping alone and it was so easy. Cathy greeted me and showed me around. Had a great time chatting and had plenty of time to relax. View is serene and so quiet at night.
