But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. The glamping site was in a beautiful setting in the host were super accommodating and generous, providing an extra mattress for my family. The cabin was complete with off grid amenities. There were some question marks with the toilet, but everything worked out fine.

I loved the space. It was comfortable and thoughtful. We arrived bringing very little things with us for an impromptu weekend out for the first time “glamping”. Don’t forget the bug spray and lanterns! I liked that the port-a-potties were nearby and the regular bathroom is also an option down the road. This space is next to a pond so be aware of the wildlife near by (read alligators) and be smart.

Lake Louisa is beautiful!!!! The tent was organized and clean, they also have a small charcoal grill that isn’t saying on the list. The bed was comfortable. It is close to the lake and also the bathrooms the bathroom was clean and organized. The air conditioner worked well at night but for those who are allergic to smells it can be difficult but nothing that an antiallergic next day don’t solve the problem lol. I love my experience and I am for sure going back next year.

The cabana was clean, modern and comfortable, perfect for a weekend getaway. It was also stocked with all of the essentials. There were two pools, and plenty of hosted activities throughout the day for kids. The live music was also a nice touch. You have everything onsite - basketball court, volleyball, yard games, bars, restaurants, and a store, but also just a short drive to nearby restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a fun, stress-free retreat with a touch of comfort!
