Site 2 - Oak Site
Sorry this review is late in coming. We stayed in site #2 at Susan Bridgit's land. The road was not too bad and we did not get lost. Her son came out and greeted us and told us where things were, we got a late start and arrived after dark, but it worked out OK. The site had nice shade trees, a flat spot for a tent, and a table and chairs. It was quiet and dark , a good base camp to explore the Yuba river and get in some late season swim time.

We are thankful to have met Bridge and her fam. The hospitality was amazing. The energy of the land and the thought put into her space was very much appreciated. Love going to the forest for rest and a little peaceful play as was the intent. I’m a single mom with 2 children and a dog and they were thoroughly entertained with all the space dedicated to play and the dogs. The fact that she created such an awesome trail to such a beautiful private creek was the ultimate bonus we loved identifying so many beneficial plants on her property. The weather was awesome as was the full moon on our 3 night stay. There was no reception so it was nice to use her Wifi when necessary and have electric hookups. Were very down to earth so fully appreciated the compost toilets and the sacred circle. Thank you Bridges and Buddies! We love connecting with and your land that you steward.

Site 4 - Under the Stars
When this spot said it was hidden it really meant hidden! What an adventure just getting to the actual campsite. My boyfriend and I got lucky the weekend we went and it was just us two out there. The toilet outside was probably my favorite part of the trip lol. Susan made sure everything was working and we had everything we needed. The “Under the Stars” site has a gazebo right next to it which we utilized a lot to try and protect ourselves from the mosquitoes when we were eating and it helped a lot. Overall an amazing peaceful stay. Thank you!!

We were only there overnight, but the space was very quiet with a great hike to a creek.

Site 4 - Under the Stars
Bridgit is very responsive and was kind enough to “upgrade” our chosen campsite which she thought was nicer! (And available). Lots to do on the property with the hike to the river and things for kids to do while we were preparing dinner. I appreciated that she was sensitive to our needs and was always there for questions. In our case, the GPS guided us perfectly to the spot- which I was somewhat concerned since it was remote, but despite the slow and twisty road, it was no issue. Town of Williams was a great recommendation from Bridgit where we could take the dog and go into the Yuba River.

Nice spot. Sweet flowers blooming, pops of color. The creek was lovely!! Cold, clear, quiet, private! Relatively easy walk down. No poison oak! - this is big for me (very allergic) and unusual around here. The road down was steep and a bit bumpy but doable in my 2wd RAV. The host family was very sweet (nearby, available, but unobtrusive). Felt safe, overall good vibes. The one downside was mosquitos! They were unusually bad while I was there. The host was super kind and brought me deet bug spray, a fan, and citronella candles. But what really helped was stepping into the netted off pergola to hang out and cook my dinner. It was definitely cute and protected in there! This might be specific to June in the Dogwood site and probably does not affect all campers / sites equally.
